Does Iran have data to build a nuclear bomb? No, says US.

A senior US security official Sunday disagreed with the assessment that Iran now knows how to make a nuclear bomb.

According to the Sunday New York Times, a secret International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) report says that Iran has "sufficient information to be able to design and produce a workable" atom bomb.

US National Security Adviser James Jones, however, disputed the IAEA's findings. Asked on CNN's "State of the Union" if Iran has the data to make a nuclear bomb, he said: "No, we stand by the reports that we've put out."

Two years ago, the US released a report suggesting that Iran has stopped work on its nuclear-weapons program in 2003. The Times emphasizes that other countries, including Britain and France, have begun to have doubts about this conclusion.

The authors of the so-called "secret annex" of the IAEA report acknowledge that their findings are not definitive and that further investigation is necessary.

But the report embodies a growing split within the nuclear agency on how hard to push Iran, The Times suggests.

Mohammed ElBaradei, head of the IAEA, has sought to emphasize progress in talks with Iran about its nuclear program.

Christian Science Monitor was the SINGLE reputable paper in which you saw some balanced coverage of Wolfowitz and Judith Miller's lies!

While every paper and TV program, including NPR (thanks to Daniel Schorr of course!) tried to force-feed Judith Millers war lies to Americans,  her Chalabi and "undisclosed" sources; and while she was going around with her anthrax stories, and even when in prison she was getting visits by Bolton and messages from the office of the vice president.....only Christian Science Monitor balanced some of Miller/NYtimes/Feith-Perle-Wolfowitz lies.

Indeed Christian Science Monitor remains US NO.1 credible paper. Thanks again for fantastic links from  good sources which traditionally has tried to balance out well established lies to a degree!

Still when it come to WAR LIES, one always needs CSMonitor to monitor Sulzbergers NYTimes and all of its satellite like Boston Globe and International Herald Tribune ...the war loudspeakers!

Although the Christian Zionist Cheney was instrumental in pushing the war through, but this was a unique case that Thomas Friedman even boasted about the power of few people like himslef and few other liars in NYTImes  who created the BODY OF LIES.

The Sulzberger family better look at the stock of its company to note that they don't have such powers anymore. The American public will not buy dirty lies that its reporters like Judith Miller spread successfully for Iraq war, and now DAVID SANGER- NYTimes new Judith Miller- has been trying to spread for few years now!

And by the way, it is interesting that now you pick to agree with a US spokesman because it suits your political argument. I thought you hated Zionists and US. But now you believe the US and change the goal posts? I listen to the IAEA mate. No propoganda from West OR Iran.

Thwere was no personal attack intended, it was for them to make sure they read as false news what they proudly thought was true story just to lambast Iran. This is not something I invented here, in case if you don't know it was practiced before by others here.

As for the report, regardless of what I feel/think. The news was rejected by the same side that spread the disinformation.
