Barak Says Nuke - Armed Iran Couldn't Destroy Israel

A nuclear-armed Iran would not be capable of destroying Israel, Defence Minister Ehud Barak said Thursday in remarks that departed from long-running Israeli arguments about the threat posed by its foe.

"Right now, Iran does not have a bomb. Even if it did, this would not make it a threat to Israel's existence. Israel can lay waste to Iran," Barak said in a transcript of a newspaper interview obtained by Reuters before publication Friday.

Israeli leaders have repeatedly sounded alarms over Iran's atomic ambitions, pointing at President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's calls for the Jewish state to be "wiped off the map" and support for Islamist guerrilla groups arrayed along Israel's borders.

As I told you before there is nothing to worry about.

Current Iranian government is so incapable that Israel has nothing to be worried about. Barak is a moderate ex-military guy and so he is more than qualified to give vision in this matter. Netanyahu on the other hand is a politician of Sharon's caliber and is willing to blow the whole Iranian nuclear deal out of proportion so that he can concentrate on expanding the settlements in occupied land. And more important to receive US military and finanacial aid.

Iranians ( not you obviously since you probabely are an arab based on your activities here) must first concentrate on their internal affairs ( since Iranians suffer more than the felestini's) and let israel deal with arabs . Arabs have never been favourable to Iranians, Ajams as they know us.Even arab states have good ties with israel.
