Abarmard you are dead wrong on this subject
by cyclicforward on Fri Jul 24, 2009 01:42 PM PDTThe balme goes directly to the IRI. If they behave themselves and shut their mouth, then they can get whatever they want from the west. At the least, if IRI doesn't have any safe planes to fly, then they might as well shut down their airlines and stop killing innocent passengers. That is the very least they can do.
I don't agree
by Abarmard on Fri Jul 24, 2009 01:38 PM PDT1- This is against what the US government policy approach and advertisements: that they are against the Iranian regime and not the people of Iran.
2- The mistrust has been both ways and in many regional cases, Iran has been on the US side. The chants are irrelevant for the policy makers but for those who watch the news to form an opinion!
3- The Fanatic individual who all know well claims that if the Iranian aviation could purchase new planes, they would not, because they don't care! As a matter of not knowing this kinds of claims are forgivable. The sanctions are the core reasoning that the prices for the used planes have increased as such since there is no competition.
4-The fanatic also claims that who ever thinks separately rather than package mentality is pro this or pro that, a dictatorial thinking no different than a fanatic Mullah who he is against.
5-If the Iranian regime has done wrong, why should the US punish the people, since now the US and the world know well that the people are not same as the regime. So back at the fanatic, it can go both ways:
-Gonah kard dar balkh ahangari
-beh shushtar zadand gardani.
Finally, it's always wise to look at a fanatic, who can not comprehend anything but hate in one corner and everything as right in another and choose a different direction, since one can learn democracy from a dictator (az keh amukhti adab---az bi adaban).
there are times that one can independently think and analyze the situation. If one thing is wrong, doesn't mean all is wrong and vice versa. In this case, the sanctions for passenger planes are wrong. Pure and simple.

by Kaveh Nouraee on Fri Jul 24, 2009 12:53 PM PDTNow you want to place blame with the U.S.? That's simply absurd.
The sanctions are the result of the behavior of the IR and the IR alone.
While you mention that this could be avoided by "simply selling pasenger planes to Iran", it also bears mentioning (as well as greater emphasis) that this could have been avoided if the IR simply stopped their usual methodology of BS towards the rest of the world, specifically the U.S.
You want respect..you earn it. And we all know that the IR has done absolutely nothng to earn the respect of anyone, unless you consider Cesar Chavez to be a credible person.
It Is Criminal
by Mort Gilani on Fri Jul 24, 2009 02:12 PM PDTThe poor souls who are killed in flight accidents are like Neda and Soharb, the direct victims of this criminal regime . Iranians ought to hold a rally, or do something on why nobody is accountable for these deaths.
Abarmard, the Islamist want to have their cake and it it to?
by MargBarIRI on Fri Jul 24, 2009 12:48 PM PDTYou can't shout marg bar amrica for 30 years and expect to buy boeings and airbuses at the same time. This is the failure of IRI policies in international relations. They are kissing russian ass for 3rd rate nuclear plants and sacrificing Iranian lives with it. At the same time, the stupid islamic government is doing a poor job on maintaining the planes. You do not see russian planes crashing left and right and russia is more than willing to sell their garbage to them. When you deal with 3rd rate countries like russia, you will get 3rd rate equipment. when you side with 3rd rate countries like north korea "against the arrogant west" as ahmadinejad does, your people will only be able to fly russian junk. i feel sad for iranians as they are paying the price with their lives because of these muslim crack pots

by KouroshS on Fri Jul 24, 2009 12:37 PM PDTThey want western-made passenger plane, and advanced aviation technology sold and delivered to them? then have them convinced to tone the f...rethoric down, wisen up and accept what the entire international community wants them to do. for as long as they continue to Joftak andazi eynahoo OLAGH, that is what OUR PEOPLE get.

The US sanctions on Iran
by Abarmard on Fri Jul 24, 2009 11:19 AM PDTin this case is criminal. Innocent people are being killed that could be avoided simply by selling passenger air planes to Iran.
I'm sorry to hear about this, but
by Kaveh Nouraee on Fri Jul 24, 2009 10:48 AM PDTwhat can you really expect?
They are flying these Russian-made pieces of garbage.
Even the Russians themselves know their planes are crap. That's why 69 out of 99 planes flown by Aeroflot (Russia's national airline) are either Airbus or Boeing.
