The head of Iran's nuclear agency has resigned, an Iranian news agency reported Thursday, a move that may have been connected to the country's postelection turmoil.Gholam Reza Aghazadeh gave no reason for his resignation, according the semi-official ISNA news agency. But Aghazadeh has long been close to opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi, who claims to be the victor in June 12 presidential elections and says the government of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is illegitimate.

Aghazadeh is quoted as telling ISNA that he submitted his resignation from Iran's Atomic Energy Organization 20 days ago to Ahmadinejad, who accepted it. In the ISNA report Thursday, Aghazadeh says he also resigned from his other post, as one of Ahmadinejad's vice presidents.

Okay, so all you folks who are still screaming about the CIA involvement in the Green wave and about Iranian territorial integrity and autonomy and right to nuclear power, you just don't get it. Maybe now you will so let me explain.

Iran HAS every right to nuclear technology. The problem these past few years has been the foaming maniac. Let us not go back further, I know it goes back to before that, but I'm talking about the relationship of the policies of and toward the maniac to NOW. TODAY.

Many governments, rightly or wrongly, were afraid for the foaming maniac and his little friends to have their hands on nuclear technology.

If ANYONE other than the foaming maniac had 'won' these elections, a solution would've been possible IMHO guaranteed in the case of Mousavi or Karroubi) whereby Iran would have been approved of the right to have such technology, and there would've been no place for arguments (real or spurious) that they were in violation of UN IAEA standards. Because anyone but the foaming maniac would've been able to sit down at a table and negotiate with the UN and the 'West' like a normal person. Instead of STANDING on it and...foaming like a maniac.

The maniac was geopoliticay in many ways necessary--I'm gonna get it form my center-right friends for that one for sure-- to counterbalance the other foaming maniac in the White House and the Prince of Darkness behind him.

The latter are no longer in power. The former is.

So ask Mr. Gholam here what he thinks of your arguments about Mr. Ahmadinejad being the great saviour of Iran's safety, autonomy, territorial integrity and right to develop nuclear technology in the face of the CIA, the evil Brits, the Ziopigs and the Swedes, with their insistence upon eating meatballs.

Well well well
