My [Ariana Huffington's] colleage Nico Pitney was given the opportunity to ask a question at Obama's press conference today that came directly from an Iranian [in Iran]. His question for the president was: "Under which conditions would you accept the election of Ahmadinejad, and if you do accept it without any significant changes in the conditions there, isn't that a betrayal of what the demonstrators there are working towards?"

Scroll down a little for the video. Please bear in mind that the Huffington Post is one of THE major clearinghouses for the most up to date and reliable iinformation on, from, and to Iran via Blogestan. O. now CONVERSES directly with the people of Iran. And what does he tell the Regime? No, you can't pin this one on me and the CIA.

And what does he tell the protesters? You can do it on your own. Yes, you can.

And you don't  even need me to come out explicitly POLiTICALLY against the Regime. I'm not your new Kermit Roosevelt. Your politics is your own to shape and form. And if it makes you angry, fine. Let it energize you. Well, now I'll just invite your leaders to celebrate Independence Day to honor our revolution. And if it's AN and he accepts, what does that implicitly say about the 'meddling' of the CiA?'

And if they refuse, who's the bad guy now?

And if it's not AN?

Happy Independence Day.

I think some people fail to understand the genius of this man. And Michele. Not to mention Ariana Huffington...I wonder which one of them made up that question from an Iranian?
