A Little Skeptical of The Story in Iran?

Though I support any cause for self determination, and believe the more determined group will come out on top, something has struck me as odd about this news story for the past 10 days or so.  And it is this: I cannot help but notice how much of this story is being exported for US consumption.  In English.  By people wearing Calvin Klein.

What's wrong with being meda savvy? Yes, some picutures look like ads for CK, but the reality is the protests ARE happening and many many people wearing non-designer underwear are on the streets demanding the regime to stop violating thier civil and human rights.
