i, too, am afraid that she might be picked up again.  or at the very very least, be harrassed to death!  on one hand i might say i admire her for staying and standing her ground but on the other... whew.  she's taking a tremendous risk.  regardless... she is a very brave young woman and i celebrate her release.

Personally, I hope she does leave Iran and the sooner the better. But that is entirely her decision to make.

As for anyone's negative opinion of Iran, get over it. If Iran was the epitome of paradise, then what the hell are we all doing over here? If Iran right now is the ideal place to be, there wouldn't be a diaspora.

Iran is our homeland. It's beautiful, it's historic, it's who and what we are all about. But it's hell on earth too. And until some of you can own up to that fact and wrap yourselves around it, it will never change.

There are Iranians who live and work here, enjoying every single freedom that is afforded to them, exploiting them even, living a lifestyle that they KNOW they can not have back home, yet they will trash this country while walking and chewing gum at the same time. Hypocrites.

i came back with a clarification and apology for my agreement.  it was PURELY an agreement that she should leave iran... for her safety.  i expressed no sentiments such as those indicating that iran was backwards in any way, shape or form.  i feel no need to apologize further.  and certainly not for defending myself against disgusting comments made by others.  i have always defended iran and deserving individuals from baseless attacks by americans and you know this.  how this suggests that i must agree with all comments about iran and iranians escapes me.  turn about is fair play.  i love my country and defend her against baseless attacks as well.  and for that i'm considered bigoted and racist.

What can I say? The treatment tht I got from them Iranians were just unbelievable. I feel that I owe them a lot.

I love Iran, I love US also. If you like to know. I was born and raised not far from Chicago. I had a tough life until I met my best friend who took me to his home and help me stand up again. He moved to Iran and I went with him. I totally dig the Iranian culture. It's just so human and natural.

Hey, I know what Iranians going thru with all the enemies all over the corners. I learned one lesson from them not to give up when it gets tough. Those who want to fight them are just crazy. Iranians would stand stronger. I am an American and also a citizen of the world.
