Kurdish TV channel making waves

A channel broadcasting exclusively in Kurdish has been launched by state television in Turkey. As many as one in five people in Turkey are ethnically Kurdish, but for many years the Kurdish language was banned. It was seen as subversive in a country fighting the separatist Kurdish movement, the PKK.
