Speaking at his first press conference after announcing his bid to run in the elections, Rezaei said "I advocate neither surrender nor adventure, I will never write a letter to a US president which remains unanswered; our letter will defiantly be answered." The time of aggression and military attack is over; he said adding the new movement in the US dictates a new foreign policy to the country. "We can use the US needs favorable to our national interests if we pursue the position of strength," he added.
