Love letters apparently written by Prince Charles to a Canadian woman some three decades ago are now up for grabs to the highest bidder. The six letters penned by the future king of England to a Montreal woman named Janet have been posted on eBay with a starting bid of US$30,000. The letters, written in 1976 and 1980, pre-date Charles' relationship with the late Diana, Princess of Wales, whom he married in July 1981. All are written on official royal stationary with a crest, coat of arms, palace or castle name, according to Alicia Carroll, owner of Los Angeles-based Everything Royal, who is selling the letters. They reveal his affection toward Janet, said to be Janet Jenkins, who reportedly worked at the British Consulate in Montreal in 1975 when she met Charles.
