Drupal is free software used to run Web sites, and participants at the at the Polytechnic Institute of New York University in Downtown Brooklyn said they were drawn there, despite differences in backgrounds and ideologies, by a belief in an almost utopian form of technological cooperation. Drupal was developed by Dries Buytaert, a Belgian programmer, and nearly 10 years ago he made the Drupal code public, giving up formal control of his creation and letting people use it without charge with the stipulation that they share modifications and improvements with one another.

more features for Iranian.com
by HEVAK (not verified) on Sat Mar 07, 2009 04:06 PM PSTMr. Javid,
I like your website a lot and I admire your being open-mindedness as well. Your website is a place to voice different and opposite opinions
and that is what makes it more attractive to us, Iranian.
I bet your site has a heavy traffic with lots of visitors/readers of artists, doctors, engineers, businessmen/women, housewife, students, etc.
I just want to share my idea with you regarding adding more tabs & enhancing existing features, hope it helps.
To simplify requirements and categorize them I simply call them "tabs" , ugly habit i know!
Your site is completely ready to provide two more services:
- jobs "why not posting jobs and resumes!"
- ask experts "Having subscribed experts answer visitors questions and give opinion"
This way you can bridge more gaps between Iranian living outside of Iran,
It would be three sided business, profitable for you for experts and for visitors.. hence having more visitors!
I know my English isn't fluent.. ;)
This is great of course.
by Iranian Reader on Tue Mar 03, 2009 08:42 AM PSTMy question is, how can content producers earn a living? Must we forever have to rely on advertising to eat? I am no software engineer (have great respect for them) but making a present, as it were, of your codes to the public is one thing (one fantastic and generous thing) but populating websites with quality content is an everyday and ongoing thing. How can we provide that service (yes, it is a noble service) and pay the rent at the same time?
We are counting on all you super bright Iranian geeks to come up with a solution real soon!
