U.S. general says drop in Iraq deaths is linked to Iranian arms cutback

A marked decline in the number of explosive devices coming into Iraq from neighboring Iran has helped reduce the frequency of deadly attacks against U.S. service members, a top U.S. general said Thursday. The military's view reflects a growing belief that Iran has reduced its level of interference in Iraq and is no longer, as the U.S. alleges, providing weapons that are used to kill U.S. troops, potentially making it easier for the next administration to reach out to the government in Tehran.

I agree with Mehdi, IRANdokht and Toofantheoncesogreat. The 4 of us have our own secret service network and know what is going on in Iraq better than the ignoramus American flag general.

Between Saddam and our own Tehran based leadership, an 8 year war was started and kept going for a cost of roughly 1000,000 young lives (6 zeros). We are unhappy Americans are meddling and have removed Mr. Saddam and trying to stabilize that invented country (The Brits invented it). If Saddam was allowed to stay in charge, we could have started another one.

I think JJ should keep the good work and look for more opportunities to complain about what Americans are doing, they are so imperfect. We cultured Iranians know how to do it better. Too bad most of us are still debating which foot we enter the WC with.

The EPF bombs, used on US forces, are currently made even in the poorest area of the Gaza strip, you dont need much hardware to make them. Now if Iran really wanted to kill american servicemen, it could stuff the Iraqi black arms marked with Anti armor sniper weapons, anti tank missiles, anti helicopter/low altitude missiles and cause havoc for the US.

Who the F do they think they are dealing with, Bahrain?

The worst part is the wide eyed gullible american populace that buy into these lies and spins.

If Iran had done what I mentioned above, the US would have been in war with Iran several years ago, not putting on their actors and propaganda spin meisters infront of the cameras and newspapers.

PS: Nice headline, if they dont want to be killed, stop killing others.
