It was Yarshater's bad!

by Jaleho on

Faryarm, I am sorry if you thought I meant your quoting was incorrect.

I meant that when even Yarshater makes pedstrian exaggerations like what I explained, quoting an incorrect data to hit a point, one should not repeat the obvious mistake blindly, or at least acknowledge that you don't agree with that particular point. He clearly refers to the large number, 7.5 million, and says AFTER Christianity, Islam, Budaism, and Hinduism.... whih gives the reader the sense of 5th important religion in the world, certainly not the feeling of there are 12 of them in so and so tribe of Africa and 6 in a particualr country in Asia!

Jaleho: what "mis-quotes" ?

by faryarm on

Please hear it from Dr Yarshetr's mouth..there is an audio version ...

To clarify the point, Bahais may not number in the billions...but their distribution according to Encyclopedia Brittanica in both 1992 and 1995 is the second most widely distributed religion on the planet; certainly noteworthy for the sons of mullahs who think by persecuting Bahais in Iran they can stop its progress; Bahais exist  even in the jungles of the Amazon..

But then again although ,some have eyes to see to and ears to hear , they are blind and deaf to the facts.

Dear Jaleo...you argumnets as always need to find a leg to stand on; lose the prejudice and you might gain true sight , hearing  as well as  respect amongst fair minded people.

The Bahai Faith ...

by Mona 19 on

We come from more than 2,000 different tribal, racial, and ethnic groups and live in 235 countries and dependent territories.

The Britannica Book of the Year (1992) referred to the Bahá'í Faith as the second-most geographically widespread religion in the world, after Christianity.

It is sad that even Yarshater

by Jaleho on

with such a respectable stature can use pedestrian exaggeration to hit his point. He says:

I beg your pardon?! Are the estimated 100-450 million animists chomagh?

How about 400 million people with Chinese traditional religion like Confucianism?

How about 23 million Sikhs?

How about 15 million Jews?

Let alone  over a BILLION agnostic-atheists!!

But hey, I understand that Faryarm would enjoy such "mis-quotes" and would distribute it at the peril of Dr. Yarshater.
