Honduran President Manuel Zelaya has postponed the reception of credentials of the new US ambassador to show solidarity with Bolivia.

"We believe that ... in the defense of the principles of solidarity of countries, we should be supportive with Bolivia's current problem and present a protest voice to the nations of the world," Zelaya told a news conference.

A conflict in Bolivia between backers of President Evo Morales and anti-government protesters sparked a tit-for-tat diplomatic row; also involving Venezuela, after Morales on Wednesday ordered the US ambassador to La Paz to leave, accusing him of contributing to divisions in the country.
