Iran's mass execution an 'affront to human dignity': EU

BRUSSELS (AFP) - The European Union's French presidency on Tuesday condemned the hanging of 29 men recently in Iran as an "affront to human dignity". "The European Union condemns in the strongest terms the 29 simultaneous executions," the French presidency said in a statement. "It considers that the Iranian regime's action of staging these executions and making them the focus of media attention is an affront to human dignity," it added.
