In June, militants killed more U.S. and NATO troops in Afghanistan than in Iraq for the second straight month. It was the deadliest month for U.S. troops in Afghanistan since the war began.

Poor little misery of a country.  Everybody forgot.  Nobody cared.  Well, guess what? Afghanistan's on the map again.  Bush is even talking about re-deploying troops from Iraq into Afghanistan. Talk about over-extended. The head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff was NOT kidding. I don't think the US military is going anywhere else any time soon.

their efforts in Afghanistan. There is no way that the U.S. will be able to split itself further and land on Iranian soil.
