Thank you Mehdi!

Excellent analysis. Could not agree with you more. The left and Islamists are crazy as we can all see here. They have no moral compass. You expose them for the hypocrites
that they are. THANK YOU!

Well said Mehdi Mazloom

Why the heck do we even bother to care about the Palestine-Israel issue, like we don't have enough with problems? In Persian phrase, (khodemoon badjoor gereftari darim raftin gir dadin be baghieh). I hope I said it right even though this is not the language we speak at home. I'm sick and tired of those criticizing others while we have our own issues to resolve.

The Palestinian fatigue

by Mehdi Mazloom (not verified) on

afshin writes:
"The truth is that the freedom and democracy which has been a fruit of Israel's creation has paid very few dividends to the Palestinian people."

Well had their leader made the right decision back in 1947, and agree to live side by side the Jewish minority, as two nations living in peace and harmony. The State of Palestine would also be celebrating their 60th birthday.
Instead, their leaders made the wrong decision, and Pals have ended up paying the price. As I have said it many time before here. Besides, between 1948-1967, There was not a single Israeli occupying the WB, Gaza & E. Jerusalem. Why Pals did not cerate their sovereign and independent state. The reason is simple, they want to drive the Jews from the region - much like their Muslim brethren had done to other ething and religious minorities in the region.

ISRAEL IS ONLY PART OF THE REFUGEE PROBLEM. BUT NOT THE ONLY SOLUTION

Also you wrote:
"I think Jimmy Carter makes a very valid point that Israel is in a de facto state of apartheid based on religion."

Yes, on the same breath. Mr. Carter could also say:
that Italy is in a de facto state of apartheid based on religion."
that Saudi Arabia is in a de facto state of apartheid based on religion."
that Iran is in a de facto state of apartheid based on religion."
that Pakistan is in a de facto state of apartheid based on religion."
that Japan is in a de facto state of apartheid based on religion."

"why are we even concerned with the Israeli-Palestinian issue? Have all of Iran's issues been resolved? We as Iranians have too many pressing matters of our own to squable amongst ourselves over people (Israelis and Palestinians) who couldn't care less about us if they tried."

This is a comment to which I could respect you for it. You are damn right. What Iranian young generation needs to focus on, is to liberate yourself from the shackles of 7th century fundamentalist dogma. Where ONE MAN decides the lives of 70M people whom are far more intelligent then himself. You are by far more educated, smarter then pothers (you know whom) in the region. Get rid of these backwards, before they will destroy beautiful Iran.

Lets compare race

by Mehdi Mazloom (not verified) on

"Jewish religion is considered a race"
Do you mind telling me, what is a typical Jew in your lofty theory of race. Jews in Israel came from all 4 corners of the globe, from more then 120 countries.. They are white, brown, and dark skins. The only commonolity they have, it is their 4500 year haritage and common religious belief.

And what is a typical Muslim.

Do you one to compare between Iran & Israel, which one of them is more tolerant towards its minorities, or its people are free to speak their mind. Or which one of them exerts more religious influence dogma on the day to day lives of their respective people.

Unless you live outside Iran and enjoy the freedom granted to you by the local western country, I don't think, not only you my good man, but ANY Iranian who supports this backward regime is in any position to argue about religious dogma.

Truth

by afshin on

To deny the suffering of the Palestinians and simply labeling it as "minimal displacement of people", is as short sighted and frankly idiotic as saying the Jews in Europe were not murdered but simply displaced.  The truth is that the freedom and democracy which has been a fruit of Israel's creation has paid very few dividends to the Palestinian people.  I think Jimmy Carter makes a very valid point that Israel is in a de facto state of apartheid based on religion.  They (The Palestinians) had the smaller guns and less support and lost their country/birth place.  All this in the name of fulfilling the hopes of the Promise land for the Chosen people. Since the Palestinian gentiles were NOT chosen to live in the promised land they are basically shit out of luck and on their own.  The new world order gives little attention to righteousness.  In today's world might always makes right.

One thing that does come to mind though is why are we even concerned with the Israeli-Palestinian issue?  Have all of Iran's issues been resolved?  We as Iranians have too many pressing matters of our own to squable amongst ourselves over people (Israelis and Palestinians) who couldn't care less about us if they tried.

Zion

by kamran of Kerman (not verified) on

oh boy...so brain washed. well that's why there would never be peace there...you got your facts wrong not Chomsky. There are no intellectuals that agree with you or the Zionist regime, only politicians. Why is that?
Of course in the Universities you would find more anti Israeli sentiment, it's a place of learning. What do you expect? them being a fox news watcher so you and like you could benefit from their stupidity?
Any normal intelligent person would dislike what the criminal regime of Israel has done to the Palestinians. It's a catastrophe. You think it's all fine because you as a Jew now have a home, well, don't be so sure. If bad historical things has happened to your people is because of these kind of actions that your people have done to others. They always come back to hunt you. If not you, your children. Life is like that and you and like you have not learned that...yet.

On teaching new tricks to old...

by Zion on

This is a very old lie and very easy to debunk.
Whenever a new country is formed, it brings about some limited population displacement. Since Israel`s independence, there are many other countries that are formed, and all envolved displacement of many people. The good case is perhaps Pakistan, whose formation resulted in forced mass emmigration of myriads of people from their homes, and many many massacres, yet your bunch don`t seem to mind that at all. As in all other civilized or even semi-civilized places, people settled in their new places and were gradually assimilated. Everywhere except in Arab countries bordering Israel where this situation is being artificially prolonged as an asset to genocidal campaign against Jews and Israel.
In case of Israel, most o these Arabs you call 'palestinian' left themselves despite the pleading by Israeli officials of the time to stay. They left because their Arab brethren advised them to step out of the way of their war of annhilitaion against Israel. Some stayed and are Israeli citizens and live in their homes.
The anti-Israel attitude and venom is dominant in US universities, especially among the Middle East Studies faculty. They rant freely and visciously. You should know this, your heroes, deranged idiots like Chosmky and his pet clowns like Finkelstein rant and write their rubbish freely. The same in Israel. Idiots like Avneri or much worse, leftists and so on take advantage of all the freedom and protection Israel offers and rant their crap all the time against her.

I have explained this simple fact many times.I will do it many more times, as a practice against replicators if for no other reason. Don`t worry about that. However I am amazed by the sheer dumbness of some of you who simply don`t seem able to comprehend simple logic.

Zion is misinformed?

by farokh2000 on

Abarmard, I think this Zion person is either miinformed or doesnot care to know the realities out there in the Middle East, or maybe another member of AIPAC?.

I don't think so but I just blame it on his ignorance about the real facts of life here in US and in the Middle East.

I guess if he really wanted to know, he would read a little and not just watch Fox News!?

Mr. Zion

by Abarmard on

And you criticize the Mullah regime of Iran? Interesting. Thanks for your logical input.

Arab is not a race. The language was adopted by the regional people. They speak Arabic but everyone has their own culture and history. Jewish religion is considered a race, that's why you might be confused. I am sure that they don't teach these in Israel: there are different nationalities all over Middle East regardless of language or religion. Surprised?

Israel has taken the homes of the innocent people by trickery (similar to Torah, the story of Jacob) and force (Similar to Hitler in WWII). The Europeans fought Hitler similar to Hamas fighting Israel, Guerrilla warfare. It's war and the result is not yet in. Therefore those Palestinians do not want to become a Lebanese or Syrian or Saudi or Iraqi or Jordanian or Egyptian. See those countries are all Arab, but not the same. And Palestinians are....Palestinians. They belong to Palestine where Israel is currently "Occupying". Palestinians won't give up their land because you are good looking. Israel won't have peace just because they are supported by the US (for now). You should know all these or you are taking us for a fool. They should have taught you better in school but democracy and freedom of speech seem to be selective.

Do you know what happens to a teacher in the US that talks about Israel based on the real facts? If in the US we do not see any media criticizing the Zionist regime, then I wonder how it would be in Israel, the "ONLY" "Democracy" in the Middle East! Think about it.

How has this got to do with Israel?

by Zion on

If they live in bad conditions in Lebanon, the Labense government is to blame that has refused deliberately to assimilate part of their people in the country. Many many Jews had to move to Israel, either because they were thrown out of Arab countries or because if they stayed they were facing progroms and death, and they ware fully assimilated.
Blame the arabs for the way they treat each other, and use each other to produce terrorists and artificially keep a wound open to harm Israel.
By such meaningless bias, you only keep yourself blind and prove your lack of wisdom. Nothing else.

With these accomplishments, why is he worried about "images of Israel" created by Ahmadinejad? He should more be worried about images of Israel created by Zionist blood suckers.
