On June 9, 2009, Iranian rock band Hypernova opened for the band, IAMX, at Slim's in San Francisco. Hypernova is made up of Raam, Kami, Kodi, Jam and Poya. Raam is the lead vocalist, Kodi is the lead guitarist, Kami is the drummer, Jam plays bass and Poya plays the rhythm guitar/Synths >>>

How did I not know about these guys? Their influences are Bauhaus, Depeche Mode, NIN, Queens of the Stone Age and they opened for the Sisters? Finally! My musical proclivities and interest in Iran together!

AMAZING!!!  Finally, new Iranian musicians that's worth a damn.  This was really good.  I'm downloading this.  Thanks for the post.  I love that they listed Bauhaus as an influence.  I'm fully supporting these guys.  They're hip, relevant and groovy.   I can't believe this is coming out of Tehran!!  Yay!!
