My grandfather owned the property (Haydarzadeh). He passed away in 1961. My uncles maintained it for another 30 years. During the war with Iraq, it was damaged. Governmnent purchased it and did a nice job in fxing it up. My mother married my father in the house.

What breath taking scenery.

What breath taking scenery. Heart breaking, however, to see Tabriz turning into an ugly concrete jungle just like Tehran.

Was in Azarbajan a year ago and I was surprised how Tabriz had changed since I had visited in 1973. I  did not recognize it. Like Tehran it is growing all over. The scenery is just gorgeous. Good thing was that we need not know Azari. Loved it! Thank you for the beautiful potos!

I have not visited Tabriz nor seen any pictures from that city before. It seems like very nice town. By the way, is Heydarzadeh private owned or stated owned? It has a very beautiful architecture.

great documentaion and beautiful pictures. The view of valley of demarcation between Iran and Azerbaijan gives one a strange feeling.

The wild flower is very beautiful.

Recent historical evidence

Recent historical evidence suggest that Tabriz and its surrounding valleys were the location of the garden of Eden.  I can see why.  Thanks.
