San Diego is now home to an extraordinary Nomadic exhibition, displaying Tent & Textiles of Central Asia and Iran at the Mingei International Museum in Escondido. Persian Cultural Center (PCC) of San Diego will be launching two programs during the six-month long exhibition, a Persian Family Festival held on December 13, and a pre-celebration of Nowruz on March 7, 2009. On display, a stunning Kyrgyz Yurt is at the center of attention. The museum also exhibits beautiful Persian bag faces and Central Asian hats.

Dear Aria: Your photographs were so soothing on the eye. The explosion of vivid and happy colors on the clothing and rugs sets them apart from any other ethnic clothes of the region. This was indeed a wonderful treat! I loved the hats on Pictures 18 and 19 and the robes in 13. Those hats look even better when worn! Take a look here.  Thank you for taking the photographs and for sharing them.
