Maybe we should organise something too, but I know the best way is to shame these parks and zoos through global exposure. Once the visitors do not visit any more (the only way to hurt these places is hurting their pockets) change may occur. Otherwise direct letters and emails are usually deleted. If phone numbers or emails for the administration of this "bird park" or the town's mayoral office can be located, people should contact them en masse and politely register their objections.

Cruelty to child & wild or domesticated beast

Why are at least 3 lions kept at a "park of the birds" in northern Iran?  This captivity is cruel treatment of the lions.  Then they dump an old helpless donkey, with no wild instincts and nowhere to run, amongst the lions, which apparently aren't good enough hunters to end its life swiftly.  The donkey had probably served its human masters for many years, making their lives more comfortable, but no minimal reciprocation of the loyalty from the human masters.  Then the whole gruesome spectacle is staged as a show for families, including young kids, in case they'd been deprived lately of an entertaining public hanging in the town square.

I think any birds in that "bird park" that are not in cages should fly away and never return.

Has anyone, like Admin of IC, reported this to one of the big animal organisations to make them aware? We can sit and talk about these things but it needs wider exposure so that something can be done to put off Iranians taking part in such practices.
