Ahmadinejad rivals cement lead in Iran parliament

Election result emphatic stamp on his political tumble

AP — Conservative rivals of Iran's president claimed control of parliament Sunday with more than two-thirds of the seats decided from elections handing the ruling Islamic establishment near seamless control in the escalating nuclear standoff with the West. The outcome also puts an emphatic stamp on President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's political tumble after he dared to challenge Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei over his power to direct key government affairs such as foreign policy and intelligence >>>

Ahmadinejad is Persian and so are his fanatic supporters.  Don't try to blame the arabs for this.  Remember, the Arabs want to "cut off the head of the snake"...

Nothing to do with Iran and Iranians.

This is only factional fighting between two terrorist groups that have no loyalty to Iran and Iranians

Their loyalty is only to imposed barbaric  Arab Islam

How can you call this an election result?

by bahmani on

This was a lottery of pre-chosen entries to see who will win the cushy government job, and get the chance to swear allegiance to Khamenei. He picked them one by one. That is not an election? That is a lottery. Ahmadinejad did not lose. It was no competition to begin with.

Oh and by the way, Ahamdinejad was also hand-picked by Khamenei too.

Reformers' Disasterous Mistake!

By not participating in the election, by not close monitoring the process, by not requesting a 'neutral international group' to oversee the votes count, by being so clever!, and by betraying the whole country!

They instead sat at their homes & left the whole show in the sole clean?! left hand of the 'Supreme Accomodator!' As a result the whole 'Greem Movement' has now turned to the 'Black Ashes' & the country is going to move much faster into the dark ages!

The two warmongering and evil regime in ME side by side.  These two are in fact the two side of the same coin and they deserve a side-by-side cell assigned to them by the ICC.
