BOAC aircraft sales team in Tehran, 1950's

railbirds.com: On May 2, 1952, the British Overseas Aircraft Corporation (BOAC) began the world's first commercial jet service with the 44-seat Comet 1A, flying paying passengers from London to Johannesburg. The Comet was capable of traveling 480 miles per hour, a record speed at the time. However, the initial commercial service was short-lived, and due to a series of fatal crashes in 1953 and 1954, the entire fleet was grounded >>>

The VIP reception that he's enjoying is owed to the lack of democratic assembly during His time..............The supplier knew that if He liked the goods and services they could have the deal signed and sealed immediately.........unlike democracies where the expenses made out of the public coffer have to go through scrutinizing procedures........that's all.......We needed a capable Shah to be the king and adhere to our Constitution instead of being a jet pilot..............

Iranians, nationally,  get mad and irrantional once every 35 years. Why did you behave so that you now regret what you did?. Did you expect any other outcome?. This is the difference between a well balanced nation ( like the Brits) and one without ( like Iranians). Brits have had Kings or Queens for the last 1500 years and they have always loved and respected their Royal families. Why couldn't we do this?.

God Bless the Shah and all those People!

It seems that Iran of 1953 under the Shah was a lot more advanced and respected than Iran of 2012 under the IRR!?

Can you imagine yourself driving a nice car, living in a nice house in a nice neighborhood, and eating in nice restaurant find yourself one day sleeping on the street and eating off of the garbage can!?

Now, whose fault is that? Yours or theirs!?
