In other words, the whole situation is like a whore house (thank you Maach-o-Mooch) where everyone is trying to screw everyone else and nobody wants to pay!

Russia see's Iran as a Leverage tool in its relationship with

by amirparvizforsecularmonarchy on

the USA.

Very True. Iran under the IRI is like an international football that countires pass around.  Whether Turkey, Brazil, India, EU etc

China on the other hand see's Iran as the future of it's Freedom and Development so it does not use the IRI the same way.  Yet it is in no position to help the IRI right now as they are the beneficiary of US Support which is more valuable to them.  If US/China relations sour, watch how quickly the IRI will benefit for real as opposed to getting strung along by the Russians.

The USA is in an lose/lose situation, it can't cope with Russia/Iran/China relations to its advatange. Something has to give even if it takes 10 years, evetually they have a losing hand in this scenario unless they can replace IRI.

Sober analysis

Excellent analysis on Iran-Russia developments. One thing to add is Iran's decision to stop all talks on swapping nuclear fuel, which Moscow was looking to resume, as a possible way out of the nuclear crisis. Another sign that things are going downhill, fast. The Islamic Republic is addicted to isolating itself. There's a limit to how far they can go without allies. They'll know when they hit the wall.
