Sargord

by KingReza on

All you need to know about Sargord is that he used to be vertical, now he's horizontal.

Soosan Khanoom, Sargord Pirooz was a very active commentator

by Anahid Hojjati on

on IC. He was pro IRI so many people on IC were against him. Any way, he was blocked; I believe, few weeks ago. My comment was half joking. As you noted, this is a common expression which you used more in past couple days, so it reminded me of Sargord. But it is actually good. You ask these questions and other commentators answer and we learn a thing or two.

I do not know who this Sargurd is......now was this guy always in the do not get mood ...... like a joke or something ......  anyway ......

but honestly when I do not get it then I have to ask those who get it to help me out ...... and this is a common used terminology  .... everyone use this once in awhile if they are honest .....  : )

You remind me of Sargord Pirooz. You keep commenting that you don't get it.

Thank you Ari

In her poem " I am vertical " Sylvia Plath brings up the  images of flowers, trees, gardens in addition to despair ........ the last two lines that gets me every time are these:

“And I shall be useful when I lie down finally ..... Then the trees may touch me for once, and the flowers have time for me

We all know that all Sylvia  wanted was love and  to be touched... something she was hoping to get in death and  was missing from her life. .......

Now I see no correlation between this short film and the controlled voice of sylvia even while she was battling such despair.

Besides ..if you had not mentioned the Sylvia's name I had no idea that this is about her poem and how can someone make a short film and do not even give the credit to the original writer of these words?

To me it looks like an insane woman who wants to die but nothing close to the set of magnificent  images that Plath chose to employ beside her despair.....

But thank you ...... at least now I have a clue  :)

Suicide

by Ari Siletz on

"I am vertical" is a poem by American poet Sylvia Plath about suicide. Here's the poem.

Excerpt:

It is more natural to me, lying down.
Then the sky and I are in open conversation,
And I shall be useful when I lie down finally:
The the trees may touch me for once, and the flowers have time for me.

Plath's book The Bell Jar is used as a title of a short story on IC. Here.
