UK's Top Spy Watching Iran

MI6 chief says spying crucial to stop Iran nuclear drive

AFP – Diplomacy is not enough to stop Iran developing nuclear weapons, the head of Britain's foreign spy service said Thursday, urging an "intelligence-led" approach to stopping nuclear proliferation. In an unprecedented public speech, MI6 chief John Sawers said that intelligence activities were responsible for Iran's admission last year of a second enrichment plant, which in turn led to tougher diplomatic pressure... Sawers' comments come as six world powers seek to resume talks with Iran over its nuclear programme, which Tehran insists is for civilian purposes but which Western powers suspect is intended to develop atomic weapons >>>

This is sad for GB!!!

by Benyamin on

It is obvious that GB is no longer "A" player in the world and reduced to "an" player having lost its influence. The world has changed and the Karma is coming to bite them in the A*s since  India is rising to power and the flow of power is reversing in GB-India relationship in favour of India.

There are other players like China and the old mighty Russia. I think the MI6 and GB need to reasesse their standing in the world and stop punching bigger than their weight. Evereyone knows what their game is.

As it comes to Iran, wether it will be the IRI or a democratic government, Iranians wont give up the enrichment thanks to all those betrayal action that MI6 and GB and like them have done to Iranians in the past.

Iran and the "A" Bomb

by DavidD on

Israel and all it's allies are working hard to deter Tehran from building an "A" Bomb. If and when they do so, Iran via Hezbullah has Isreal in check mate status. That is why the 5 + 2, one being Israel, will not allow it... Let's wait and see what Mr. Mahmood will do next.
