He should be sued by the kid's parents. This psychopat should not be near any kid.

I have not

really had to physically punish my kids. Not onc time. My kids love me and willingly do the right thing.

I have an American friend who spanks her kid on a regular basis. Her kid in turn is obnoxious and disrespectful of her.  Ironically she is an ex-hippie!

I also know a lot of right wingers who support physical punishment. I was talking to a particularly stupid one. He was talking about how we should bring back "capital punishment" for kids. I asked him if he knew what "capital punishment" means? He said it was beating the kids. I politely reminded him that is meant "executing kids!". The moron had to back off.  The dumber they are; the more they want to beat kids.

This is definitely not to blame on Islam. It is not a Muslim problem rather a much more prevalent one.

In all seriousness, I am still scarred by that awful swim instructor I had in Fourth Grade.  She was what we would call today a Butch but in those days merely thought of her as a very homely, scary looking woman.  She consistently picked on me because I was more scared than the other kids of being in the water.  What the hell kind of teacher thinks it is a good idea to scare you even more as a way to get you to embrace swimming?  I still remember when she actually lifted her arm and made as if to strike me across the face and her fellow teacher actually had to restrain her.  By the way, this happened in France in the mid-80s.

In her book Funny in Farsi, Firoozeh Dumas recalls her own awful experience with swimming when her aunt, an educated doctor respected by her whole family, decided the best way to overcome her fear of water was to simply throw her in the middle of the pool and let her sink to the bottom before begrudgingly rescuing her from drowning.

Some adults should NEVER EVER be around children, much less teach them.

I don't care about BBC® or You Tube®, I'm just wondering how our own JJ feels after being at least partially responsible for the instructor's loss of job  and kids receiving the wrong message!

One big problem for us iranians is feel shame and guilt that makes us impossible to be transparent, even a city swimmingpool that has to serve its customers wants to punish them since they broadcast clips from it.

And another thing to all those people that want to relate all our problems to an outsider, grow up. After 1400 yrs accept the fact and move on or you will be miserable all your life. And beside there are lots of parents beating their children in christian countries. 11 countries in EU allow this for example. Is it also because of Islam?

Why Punish?

I understand your concern on discipline, however...why would you punish in a Swimming pool? It is supposed to be fun, caring, fatherly love environment? Kids grow in soul and happiness flows, why would you be a cup there? Seriously!

When kids are happy and together, they mostly take orders, listen to their teacher... there is not crazy, outlaw crawling in the water....

Unless, some one like that psycho safe gaurd sees it that way...
