This case is more dramatic than the movie.....it is clearly a fatal attraction.....in all 4 videos, this lady was louder than the judge and the soccer player.....she sounded super aggressive....I understand that she was fighting for her life.....in the 4th video.......she said, "What was wrong in loving you?"..."Was my sin that I loved you?".......it shows that this lady is clearly obsessed with the guy........it is amazing that this lady said that after the soccer player wanted her hanged!

I feel that the verdict is decided based on the lady's confession more than the physical evidence......IRI does a lot of forced confessions......so I don't know what to believe.......

Hmmm

by smr00 on

This is hard. I wish we had access to the hard evidence of the case. Anyone find any articles on this?

 1. I do agree that the legal proceedings seem a bit shabby, one sided and not as fair/coherent/organized as they could be. Having said that...I don't know how she could have confessed in such a specific way and then have taken it back and said that it was due to being pressured? She didnt just confess, she gave details, told a whole story, etc. And earlier she said she stated she killed, but that was in reference to the child she aborted - but then they played her confession and it was clearly not in reference to that. So thats definitely an inconsistency. I do agree people buckle under pressure but she didn't just buckle, she gave a whole long story with details etc etc.

At the same time, who else would have a motivation to kill this lady? It wasn't like it was a robbery gone wrong. Somebody meant to kill this poor lady and the only person with a good reason to do it was the mistress. Doesn't mean she did it but certainly I can't think of why anybody else would want her dead.

 2. She strikes me as having a bit of a personality disorder? Forgive me if i'm wrong and I'm just misconstruing cultural differences as well as her being under an enormous amount of stress towards acting a bit off. But there is something that doesn't smell right about her behavior. She seems a bit koo koo. I don't know, just a feeling but I could be wrong. At the same time, just because she may be a bit khol doesn't mean she is guilty of anything. I just think her confession as well as lack of motivation on the part of anyone else makes it highly likely that she had involvement. Anyone have any other sources about the case?

Lack of Legal Procedure....or any procedure at all.

by Kaaveh_Aahangar on

I cannot believe this....there does not seem to be any legal procedure at all. In no other court in the world, the procedure is such that the family of the victim is invited to the witness stand to state what penalty should be exacted on the accused whose guilt has not yet been established by either a jury or a judge. The entire court proceedings is like a circus show.

Did she refuse to have an attorney to represent her?  Was she given access to a pro-bono defense if she could not afford an attorney (a public defender)?  Why are minors (presumably the children of the victim) allowed to attend a criminal court proceeding?  In what legal system it is allowed for a co-defendant (the victim's husband) to set the punishment for another defendant?

Where is the presentation of evidence?  Where is any discussion about evidence and its validity?  Why is the judge carrying a conversation/debate with the accused, as if they are chatting over a cup of coffee?

What a joke of a legal system is this?  Where is the prosecuting attorney

No wonder, no country in the world would recognize Iran's legal system and no country in the world would allow any dispute with the government of Iran be processed through an Iranian court.

Did the judge ever receive any legal training? If yes, where and how?

The judge treats the case almost as "closed and shut" and treats the accused as guilty already.  Where is the presumption of innocence before proven guilty?

Death to the Islamic Republic

The names of all judges and officials of this heinous regime must be collected and presented to an international crime tribunal. Trial and execution is essential.

Death to the Islamic Republic.

They stone the "married wife" and the "BF" who has sex w/her.

by Anonymouse on

In this case the "husband" was married and if he has extra marital affair he'll get a whipping but not stoning.  The mistress was single, so again she'll get punished but not stoned.

The stoning is reserved for married women and their boyfriends.  Sad but that's how it is.

Everything is sacred

Hi! Mouse,

I watched all the videos.......the impression I have is that the soccer player and the mistress were intimate.....they spent a lot of time together......there are home video(s) showing them flirting......how can they call the lady mistress if there was no sex involved? So they are just platonic friends?

Question: So IRI does not stone men for extra-marital affairs, only women? This soccer player had an extra-marital affair, right?

take care!

Nothing less then state sponsor and sanctioned murder

Dear doctor:

As a doctor and mohandes, you ought to know having a baby does not necessarily mean one had sex. Case in point, virgin Mary !!!!

Or do they feed us some BS about her being a virgin :)

She clearly mentioned that " I killed my baby" that i had with naser but I did not kill the wife. Was she just making that up? Cuz that throws the Not having pre-marital sex thing out the window right off the bat.

Anonymouse

Yolanda allegedly she committed murder not adultry!

by Anonymouse on

The laws of Islamic Republic are always arbitrary and subject to interpretation of the Judge.  As you may know the judge and Prosecutor are the same and the defendant may or may not get a lawyer and even with a lawyer you have to convince the Judge AND the Prosecutor!

Now as far as adultry and stoning; 2 people, 2 men otherwise more than 2 women (about 4) would be needed, have to testify as witnesses.  Usually in a normal case of "witnesses" the witnesses are presumably in a gang bang situation but in Islamic Republic a simple yes is acceptable.  For more information see the Soraya M movie.

Now it appears that in this case the mistress killed the wife while not having any pre-marital sex and waiting for the paperwork to go through after the wife's death so she can marry the husband.  It doesn't appear that 2 witnesses were present to confirm that they had sex.  Last and certainly not the least, they stone "married women", not single women who have extra marital affairs.

Everything is sacred

I don't understand why Sakineh Ashtiani was sentenced for stoning for committing adultery......but this soccer star got nothing for committing adultery or fornication? Where is the fairness?

He even recommended hanging for his mistress! Unbelievable!

This dude is not remorseful enough!

Watching this, i was reminded of the movie. silence of the lambs! The ups and downs, the suspense!, the horror. Boy, Is she a psycopath or does she just know how well to play mind games...

Question is: what about mr. Mohammad khani himself? Whois going to put his behind where it belongs?

A legend on the field... 14 years of addiction... a doomed affair...

he is just as guilty as Shahlah.
