Fokol

It comes from the Anglo-French word Faculte which means "Ability or power of mind". This word was used to refer to the "college-educated" individuals who also dressed up and cut their hair in a fashionable style.

There's also an African word Fokol which means : Having nothing, or doing nothing.

The story is that Foucault was trying to find out exactly what had happened to a few mental patients  on IC to stand up for their rights and  well, he was faking it (as true French intellectuals do), because they were all here anyway, so that someone had spotted the deception and consequently started to fo-hsh around, but in a sweet way,  although sometimes mixing it up with a Chinese restaurant called Fook Ouf, so it was little fo-hsh: fo-koli.

The other theory, involving grabbing a fo-rty col-lars, well, that's simply not fit for the general public and I would be punished for spilling the beans about some Degos and their shortened fake castrati co-jones.

In the creation of the word, no Iranians were involved.

After this fashion died, Iranian social imagery changed it in to what we call “Bow tie” today. Those who were following this fashion at the end of 90th C. through few decades were called “FOKOLI”. Pejoratively: sissy, westernized and sometimes intellectual,elite, the white as the opposite of “blue color”, fashioned, nontraditional…

 In iran Fokol is also a certain type of hair dressing taken from 40s Hollywood actors.

حالا من یه سوال داشتم

اونهایی که فرانسه بلدن میشه بگن کلمه "پفیوز" که در فارسی استفاده می کنیم آیا ریشه در زبان فرانسوی داره، واگر داره کلمه فرانسوی اون چیه و جه معنایی داره؟ خواهشمندم که سانسورچی وب سایت این کامنت رو حذف نکنه و بذاره من جوابم رو بگیرم. فکر نمی کنم کلمه "پفیوز" به قبای کسی بر بخوره. بقول معروف هیچ چیز مقدس نیست!

کلمه فکل به معنای همان پاپیون فرانسوی میباشد که از اواخر دوران قاجار در بین خلق با سواد کشور باب زبان مردم شد.

این کلمه هم بیشتر در ابتدا از طرف افرادی به کار برده میشد که غالبا تحصیل کرده کشور فرانسه و یا بلژیک بودند،که باد از چند سال..لباس پوشیدن اصیل ایرانی را فراموش کرده و ایشان پاپیون می‌بستند و اینجور سعی‌ بر تقلید از لباس پوشیدن فرنگیان داشتند.

این افراد کم کم وارد سطح روشنفکران مملکت شدند و مردمان عامی‌ اینان را به اسامی مختلف من جمله، فکلی صدا میکردند و گاهی‌ به سخره می‌گرفتند و اسامی زشت تاری دیگر بر اینان میگذاشتند،قسمت اعظم اینان نشان دهنده این بود که تحصیل کرده هستند و مالدار و میرزا زاده ! مردم به این نحو اعتراض خود را نشان میدادند و بس.

در کتاب داستان کوتاه فارسی‌ شیرین است،این جور مطالب به شیرینی‌ قلم مرحوم جمالزاده آمده است و خواندن آنرا به تمام دوستان و عاشقان زبان فارسی‌ سفارش می‌کنیم.
