Farrah Douglas

First Iranian American elected to public office in California's San Diego County

Farrah Douglas, a successful businesswoman with an exceptional record of civic involvement, was a candidate for the City Council of Carlsbad, California. Douglas was one of four candidates vying for two council seats and was considered one of the favorites in the race. U.S. Congressman Brian Bilbray, State Senator Mimi Walters, Carlsbad Mayor Bud Lewis, the Republican Party of San Diego, and the Lincoln Club of San Diego, were among the many community leaders, public officials, and organizations that have endorsed her campaign. Douglas received the highest vote with a total of 45% of all the ballots cast and is the first Iranian American to be elected to public office in San Diego County. IAPAC, the connected PAC of PAAIA, endorsed and financially supported Douglas’ campaign.

Even Though she is republican, in long run it would benefit Iranians in this country. The more we get into the politics of this country, the better would be for not only the Iranians here but also our motherland.

BTW - SHE IS BEATIFUL

beautfiul?

by Parthianshot91 on

Why do people always turn things into a beauty contest? Beautiful people can be found in every people and group, but what matters is the culture, mentality and attitude of the person. I don't care if someone's beautiful on the outside if they're total crap on the inside.

Iranian/Persian culture has never been about judging people by their looks, but by the way they act on the inside. Culture is a lot more important to us, cause everybody gets old physically, but your culture will never get old.
