The gilaki friends whom I was talking about, are all the ladies. Of course their husband are gilaki too, but none of them is called Parivz.

Why? Do you have a gilaki friend in Montreal?

BTW- Sending food to US is some how regulated. But I have never heard pastries and candies are forbidden. I heard about spices and sauce (sabzi khoshk and rob anaar are a bit suspecious :))

but last year I have sent some zafron to MD and they got there with no problem.

souri khanoom thanks for your kind gesture,however last summer I tried to order some Tavazoo pistacchioes frm Toronto and I was informed by the lady that they can not send any food or Iranian goods to the u.s because of....!!

BTW  Is one of your gilani friend's name is Parviz from strassburg? Maziar

I have 3 rashti friends here who always bring Reshteh Khoshkar for me every time they come back from Gilan! Delicious!! I love it.
