Iran issues warning on opposition text, email communication

BBC: Iranian authorities have warned opposition supporters against using text and e-mail messages to organise protest rallies. The country's police chief said these systems were monitored and people misusing them would be prosecuted. Gen Ismail Ahmadi Moghaddam also said opposition supporters should not think internet proxies would protect them. I think we Iranians are easy to frighten he would not have made such an obvious lie otherwise.

There is no way they can control 30 million people using the internet. And what can they do legally if someone send or forward me an e-mail?

 These are just empty threats, but they work unfortunatly since we Iranians are a scared bunch.
