Ajoudani

by fjm1502 on

Farah: Glad to see a great comment. Ajoudani has been on many TV interviews and has written several books which are very popular outside Iran as well. Anyone who has seen him on TV or at a conference knows that he has a calm demeanor and is very intelligent, intellectual and logical. Obviously, in this interview, he is trying to take his message home. One would expect a person who is being interviewed to provide his honest opinion. Otherwise, what is the point of an interview, if the interviewee, who is elicited for his thoughts, should not voice his ideas?

I must say, In every interview, he could be guilty of one thing and that is "delivering his message with the type of passion that many lack these days".

Ajoudani is the foremost Iranian secular intellectual

by Farah Rusta on

You obviosuly don't know him, which betrays your lack of erudtion and understanding of the intellectual movement currently in progress inside and outside of Iran and its key players. His masterpiece, Mashruteh Irani, which was initially banned in Iran has been republished seven times in the span of 5 years and is read by hundreds of thousands in Iran been and critically acclaimed as the most autoritative analysis and account of the processes that led to the constitutional movement and the emergence of velayet faqih. His works are even sought, like hot potato, by the seminarians of Qum! Akbar Ganji copied (plagiarized) some of Ajoudan's work in his own book!!

Here, he is not angry. Ajoudani is not suffering fools gladly - fools like this BBC presenter.

He must be angry of himself,

He must be angry of himself, keep repeating the right to vote freely, without mentioning voting on what.

Mah, sorry I disagree w/you! Pls. don't stereotype!

by obama on

I have one Iranian co-worker who yells, and is very rude anytime he has a different opinon than mine. However, he is very friendly and laughing when he talks on the phone to the mayor or the councilmen.

I really don't want to steoptype ourselves, since some of the most calm, smart, polite, and full of manners and classy people that I work with are in fact Iranians.

So I think this guy is more of an exception than the norm. Don't forget here you are dealing with a politician who is full of ego. Honestly, I don't expect that much changes if regime changes. That's what we were hoping last time!!!  KHAR HAMOON KHAREH, PAALOONESH FAGHAT AVAZ SHODEH.

why are we Iranians always angry!

by mahmoudg on

why can't we discuss even opposing views with civil discord???? It seems like if this guy was in power he would do exactly the same to his opponents as is being done right now!  can we ever achieve civility in Iran.  64K dollar question.

Oh I know, he thinks he has the 5 minutes in front of camera to solve all of our ills.  if he does not achive that goal then he has failed, hence resorting to always being mad......
