In university, I just took couple classes or maybe just one as elective. I cannot tell you where magic began, it is different for everyone. In order for me to respond to your comment in a good way, it would take more time. Yes, I do not know you but part of living is making assumptions, maybe I overdo it, I give you that much. By the way, this morning, I was thinking that these videos of dancing women are turning to a sort of Ground Hog Day movie for ic. Plot throughout the movie repeats with minor differences until if I remember right, things work out at the end.I don't know what definition of working out will be in this case, maybe all women on IC who watch these videos become great belly dancers ??, I don't know but after watching so many videos, and discussing all kinds of issues on the these type of threads, something will work out.

No Biggie here. Actually, I seem to be enjoying reading comments rather than hopping in there and make some noise of my own:)) I chalk it up to some kinda of glitch of some sort. 1- I went to college but i was so busy doing what i had to do, never found the time to bother what anthropology says about men. Did you? If you did, why do you just save me the hassle and tell me all about it and tell me how the magic began! Because  i don't believe in googling every damn thing that comes up in discussions. I prefer Human toHuman contact... well. Through IC of course:)

Tabatabi is a very common last name so you can not conclude people are related if they have this last name, they maybe but you have to check more. I have a close relative married to a Tabatabai so I have several relatives with that last name.

You know isn't that the one that studies men and any way, if you went to college, you should really know about it, if not, Google it, frankly I am amazed you have not heard of it, or you have heard but you wanted to write something cute and insulting about droopiness. About 18 and 40 what I meant was that yes, generally 18 year olds are skinnier but women as age, and 40 year an dabove would be age you probably end up with, most of them become fatter. Most of them, unless they spend great chunk of their lives worrying about what guys like you think about their bodies in that case, they starve themselves and exercise much and they stay thin. Amount of time doing that could be used to do something else like reading or writing cheesy poems :)))) for IC.

I like guys who are able to accept advice or not accept advice but at least they can realize that an advice is just an advice. An attempt from one person to tell the other one their opinion. Not necessarily an effort to boss them around.

I like kind men not those who send love letters to fat girls only to tell them few weeks later that they actually like skinny girls. I do not appreciate cruelty and head games. First let me say That I agree with Mr. JJJJ. Compared to the rest of the world , iranian movies came out way on top.

You seem to be saying that the media has had such a huge impact on shaping Men's view of women  and particularly in pushing them towards liking Skinnier chicks ...I don't see it that way and i don't think that is the case. I am one of those who likes Slender-figured women , Simply because i find it physically more attractive and palatable! and easy to deal with, Let's just say it is easy on my eyes. Nothing rough, There is nothing to consider, there is nothing to ponder over. You know:)

Jasmin Tabatabai - any family relationship ?

Since I don"t understand the language and maybe the pool-scene was cut out of an otherwise brilliant movie, I"m not going to comment it. I have just a question regarding the family name of the actress Shourangiz Tabatabaie: In the german cinematography there is an actress of the new generation, daughter of a persian father and a german mother. Find some of the movies with her at IMDB //www.imdb.com/name/nm0845915/.

Her name is Jasmin Tabatabai and she recently published a fine book about the history of her fathers family in Iran ("Rosenjahre" at Ullstein Publishers //www.amazon.de/Rosenjahre-Familie-zwischen-P...)

In her book she does not mention any relatives in Iran who are actresses. Therefore, I"d like to know if the family name Tabatabai is too common in Iran to conclude a relationship between the two actresses.

Faramarz, she has a good body, not hourglass enough

I was at work so I never saw the clip before, now that I see, I find her body in this clip sexy. It could be more hourglass but I think one problem is the initial take that is the most unflattering and it is what we see in the beginning. After that, she looks good. Another problem is that media have made guys want the skinny girls. Otherwise over thousands of years, women with curvier bodies were always symbols of beauty. The more ratio of hip to waist, it meant that woman had an easier time with getting pregnant and at childbirth. So over the history women with hourglass figure were always considered more pretty. Now Faramarz, if you like skinny women, it is most probably the conditioning that media has done on you. Or you are still after that 18 year old like body which does not have the curves of a 40 year old woman which is probably the age group you should be banging out with.

Lest we forget all the great Iranian Directors

such as: Bayzayei, Mehrjoiey, Taghvaie, Kimiavi,Farmanfarma,...only because we get a steady stream of B and worse movies here on I.C.

Although the overwhelming majority of movie productions back then were basically garbage you always had those few  ever shining jewels ( directors named above and a few more), works that even after all these years, stand the test of time as true works of art, end of the speech.

P.S. Does anyone remember "Moghulha"?

Even today most films -- in any country -- are purely made to entertain the masses, not to win Oscars.

I love it! You didn't need to know ACTING, SINGING, DANCING

SWIMMING, DIVING, TALKING, EDUCATION, PLAYING INSTRUMENT in order to act in iran! Forget about the sound, directing and so on.

This brings me to my point. Why US (Hollywood) which was (is) the best in the world and in control of Iran didn't pass on some of their expertise to the iranian movie industry? They just wanted to sell sex and take, not to give, making sure we stay backward as consummers.
