Cares Who????
by Tavana on Sat Dec 18, 2010 04:46 PM PSTNo more surprises with the imprisonment, torture, & killing of AN’s foes when he treats/fires his own so called foreign minister this way. All that means: We have another psychopath as the president added to the list before him!!!!
PS: Beside cursing & the using of "F words, a typical AN's fan goes as: "Well... if thats the case, you will get your incompetent ass fired. So long ..."
loved your story Bus!
by Roozbeh_Gilani on Sat Dec 18, 2010 04:29 PM PSTYou know I often wondered why Iran adopted GSM instead of CDMA (which was at the time considered to be a superior and more rubust technology, and cheaper to implement from infrastructure perspective). I even wondered if it could be due to the fact the spread spectrum technology was originally developed for military coms applications. Or even IP issues with a certain company in San Diego in case Iran started some phone manufacturing actibity. Naive me!
Thanks for sharing the story.

Salehi = Iraqi + Foreign Minister + Chief Nuke Negotiator =>
by Everybody Loves Somebody ... on Sat Dec 18, 2010 04:23 PM PSTthe Brits know what they are doing!
tabrizi,
by No Fear on Sat Dec 18, 2010 03:37 PM PSTWell, if we consider the wikileaks reports to be true ( assuming ), then thats a good indication of Iran's foreign policy failures in our relationship with the arab countries.
The countries which were advocating an attack on Iran are those who Mottaki visited regularly. This becomes even more intriguing since Mottaki is actually the one who advocated a softer tone in our foreign politics. It makes you wonder what the heck he was doing then?
We should also consider Mottaki's replacement. If you choose the chief nuclear negotiator as the head of your foreign ministry, you are sending a very strong msg to the 5+1 countries ( or the arab countries who supported an attack on our nuclear facilities ). At the same time, you have eliminated the only one who had less confrontational attitude towards the 5+1.
But the best part is to rub it in the face of the traditional conservatives. Thats the icing on the cake.

«قاب» و «بادمجانهایش»!!!
DemoSat Dec 18, 2010 01:21 PM PST
Who cares...
by No Fear on Sat Dec 18, 2010 01:11 PM PSTWhen Ahmadinejad asigned special envoy and aides for Europe, Caspian region, middle east and etc, Manouchehr Mottaki should have got the msg to resign then. Even when Mashaie went to Jordan and also met with Austria's ambassedor, still Mottaki didn't get the msg. Or maybe he got the msg and decided to ignore it?
Well... if thats the case, you will get your incompetent ass fired. So long ...

don't worry Bus
by Parthian on Sat Dec 18, 2010 12:54 PM PSTThe next government, and there will be a next government after IR is toppled, it is only a matter of time, history teaches us that, should copy a page out of IR's book on dealing with the ex-leaders. These people must either answer to Iranian people in a court of law, or should be assassinated. Don't worry, there is already an underground organization that is identifying, and making a list of these people. That time will come. I don't mind shooting a few of them myself, and be more than happy to get the world rid of these infestations.
Tahgord
by Parthian on Sat Dec 18, 2010 12:50 PM PSTYou hezbollahis must have too much time on your hand to keep commenting on people, and things that are irrelevant. You keep labeling us as has been, yet spend more time than anyone else on this board arguing with us. I know you b**ches sit on your fat asses cashing those IR checks, and have plenty of time, but come one dude, go do something that is relevant, and leave us has-beens alone.
JaWad & Ali Akbar Salehi....
by Bus Shofer on Sat Dec 18, 2010 12:46 PM PSTThe two brothers, Ja'W'ad and Ali Akbar Salehi were born in Iraq and went to school in US, the former to USC and the latter to MIT for their Ph.D's.
During the height of the .COM era, JaWad (then an associate prof. @ Aryamehr/Sharif) was attending IEEE GLOBECOM2000 conference in San Fransisco in November of 2000 staying at Fairmont, one of the most expensive hotels!?
While sitting around the table and drinking Cognac (and yes he was drinking too) in the hotel lobby, I naively asked if it was a challenge for an Iranian university prof. (with low salary & almost zero travel budget) to make an expensive trip across the world attending a conference!?
JaWad's response was that compare to his summer vacations to Europe with his entire family, the trip to Frisco was nothing. Later during the conference, I discovered that he was a son of an ayatollah with strong ties to the core of IRR regime. I also found out that JaWad was trying to introduce the CDMA (the spread spectrum cellular technology) system in Iran but lost the battle to the stronger Akhoond Mafia who brought the GSM (the European) system!
The moral of the story is that if after the collapse of IRR some day you see these guys wearing tie and suit and walking down Madison ave. don't be surprised since all them are US citizens!?
Yeah, and I'm an American
by Sargord Pirouz on Sat Dec 18, 2010 11:49 AM PSTYeah, and I'm an American born Iranian. BFD.
And you people? You're Iran bashing has-beens. You're totally irrelevant. Totally.

Of pits and petties
by comrade on Sat Dec 18, 2010 11:07 AM PSTAlthough some of us if not most don't attribute any significance to the IRI's in-fighting, I'm just wondering if Mottaki can now relate to Lee Bollinger and his description of A.N.

Let’s start there and it will trickle down. People have fired theرهبر many times over, when is he going to listen to the people?
