Temper Tantrum Turns Into Hillside Rescue

>>>Watch videh GLENDALE, California (CBS) ― A boy throwing a temper tantrum threw his teddy bear over a cliff, which resulted in a hillside rescue of his parents. A teddy bear thrown in a temper tantrum turned into a full-scale search-and-rescue operation after the parents tried to retrieve the stuffed animal, but slipped down a steep Glendale hillside and needed to be rescued. A 10-year-old boy named Soski threw his stuffed animal over a guardrail and down a hillside in the midst of a tantrum around 9 p.m. on Nolan Avenue near McGinn Drive. "I threw my teddy bear, and then my mom went down to get it, but then she slipped," Soski said. The child's father, Harry, went to help his wife, but he also slipped on the slick hillside. The couple found themselves 80 feet down the rain-slicked hillside, in need of help>>>Watch videh

by genny (not verified) on

For all that peoples comments , You can not talk like that when you dont know a person...
I can tell you what kind of mom that kid has, she is a loving and the greatest person, who care about others.
It Looks like you dont have anything to do just gossip around.
Do you know that persons?
Do you know thier problems?
Do you know the reason why the kid said that?
You dont have any of the answers because you dont know anything about that family.

Why the news didnt ask her?

The only think I can tell you is that KID SOSKI is a really smart kid.HE RESCUE HIS PARENTS.

Do you call the person you love honey, sweetheart, pumpkin pie? so their call the kid SOSKI so?
Are you people paying their bills?

Seems like you people didnt want them to be rescue.
Nice people around here.....

The truth about the false tantrum....

by Soski's mom (not verified) on

Please excuse me for writing in capital letters.

Frankly,.. I was very disappointed with some of the comments, and so,.. for that reason...I didn't have the nerve to turn the caps lock, on and off, though I know that capital letters signify that you are screaming, but I was just anxious to have the truth posted, even though I am not sure, if I made myself clear. I was tired of corresponding to several posts, and I don't understand why my entire story didn't come up as I had initially paragraphed it, ...oh ,well!

Hrand is his real name.

by Soski's mom (not verified) on

His nickname is Soski, and that is how he likes to be called, also for your information if you look up the name Soski, it derives from Holland, and some parts of Russia, and Poland, people use it in other countries, and pardon....but I have heard worst names, that in my opinion, don't even sound like names, and if translated in a different language, they mean something really funny, or really bad!! I am multilingual, I speak 5 languages, and the reason why my son was speaking like that,... is because he was just repeating what he thought he had to say, not to mention he has been raised among Armenians, and Persians, and that they all speak with a heavy accent,he doesn't even speak Armenian, though he should, but I am American, and so I have spoken to him in English only, even I have degraded my grammar, and picked up an accent, just so my Husband's friends and family, and also our neighbors can understand when I speak to them in English, cause my Armenian is not that good. So,.... he has a babyish tone,...I know,.....yes, that's my fault for babying him, because he is our only child. When he was younger, he was able to answer questions in 4 different languages, but he has forgotten, and we haven't practiced or talked to him, in other languages,. even though my husband does speak Armenian to him, but he doesn't respond in Armenian. Frankly, I prefer other cities over Glendale,I don't feel I am in the U.S., any longer, but,.. oh well, I still love the Armenian and Persian culture, and so what if I had to sacrifice my grammar and now probably my accent!!!

!!!!!THE TRUTH ABOUT THE FALSE TANTRUM,..MEDIA LIED !!!!!!!

by Soski's mom (not verified) on

I AM SOSKI'S MOM,....... AND THE TRUTH,..... AS I MENTIONED BEFORE...... WAS THAT MY SON WAS "NOT" RESPONSIBLE FOR ME SLIPPING DOWN THE HILL. WE WERE HAVING A LITTLE ARGUMENT, THEN HE THREW HIS TEDDY OUT THE WINDOW,WHICH HE DIDN'T CARE FOR,..... DUE TO HIS AGE,..... IT IS OBVIOUS,..... HE IS NOT INTO TEDDY BEARS , BUT INTO VIDEO GAMES,..... AND SO I THOUGHT I HEARD A METAL CLANK SOUND, THEREFORE, I THOUGHT HE HAD THROWN MY KEYS WHICH WERE IN THE DASHBOARD, I ALWAYS SIT IN THE BACK , AND HE SITS IN THE FRONT WITH MY HUSBAND,... SO I THOUGHT HE HAD THROWN MY WORK KEYS,...AND BEING ALREADY UPSET AT SOMETHING ELSE, I DIDN'T MIND GOING OUT TO TRY TO SEE WHAT HE HAD THROWN , INCLUDING THE LITTLE BEAR WHICH WAS A FAMILY MEMORY, THEN WHILE I TRIED TO REACH OUT FOR IT , I ACCIDENTALLY PUSHED IT FURTHER DOWN, THEN MY BRACELET CAME OFF, CAUGHT BY A TWIG, THEN THAT IS WHEN I TWISTED MY ANKLE , AND THEN WENT ROLLING DOWN THE HILL,.. WHICH DIDN'T SEEM TOO STEEP AT THAT TIME , THEN MY HUSBAND WAS CONCERNED FOR ME ,AND THOUGHT HE COULD HELP ME CLIMB UP,BUT IT WAS TOO SLIPPERY,DUE TO THE RECENT RAIN,THEN MY SON WENT TO THE NEIGHBOR'S HOME, BECAUSE HE COULD ALSO HEAR US TRYING TO GET UP,AND HE DECIDED TO CALL FOR RESCUE,WHICH WAS VERY KIND OF HIM, I ACTUALLY WAS HOPING TO BE ABLE TO COME UP BY MYSELF,BUT I GUESS I COULDN'T THEN IT WAS TWO OF US, MY HUSBAND AS WELL, BUT MY SON WAS SAFE WITH OUR NEIGHBORS, WE LIVE IN THE SAME NEIGHBORHOOD,AND IT'S PRETTY SAFE,EXCEPT FOR THE MOUNTAINS,AND SOMETIMES WILD ANIMALS, THAT'S ABOUT IT,.......BUT... MY SON, DIDN'T ASK ME TO GO GET IT, AS A MATTER OF FACT , HE WAS ASKING ME NOT TO GO FOR IT, BUT I ALSO WANTED TO AVOID THE ARGUMENT MY HUSBAND AND SON WERE HAVING, IN WHICH I ALWAYS END UP,... SO THE BEST THING I KNOW, IS TO WALK AWAY FROM HEATED DISCUSSIONS,.... UNTIL EVERYONE IS CALM,... THEN TALK IT OVER ....SO I DECIDED TO STEP OUT OF THE CAR,...IN SEARCH FOR THE BEAR AND KEYS AS WELL, WHICH I THOUGHT HE THREW OUT... TOO, ALSO, I JUST WASN'T IN THE MOOD TO EXPLAIN EVERYTHING TO THE OFFICERS, AND WASN'T IN POSITION TO GO IN FRONT OF THE CAMERAS ,(I LOOKED AWFUL,...ALL MUDDY), I DON'T WANT TO CALL ATTENTION TO MYSELF OR FAMILY FOR THAT MATTER.. SO,.. AFTER ALL,.... THE NEWS PERSON UNDERSTOOD THAT MY SON THREW A TANTRUM DUE TO THE TEDDY BEAR, AND SO THEREFORE, MY SON, JUST THOUGHT HE HAD TO REPEAT THE SAME THING THAT THE NEWS PERSON WAS SAYING , HE THOUGHT, THAT WAS WHAT HE WAS SUPPOSE TO SAY, AND HE ALSO WANTED TO BE ON THE NEWS, AND I DID 'NOT' WANT TO BE ON THE NEWS , BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT MY PARENTS TO WORRY, MY DAD IS IN THE HOSPITAL, AND THERE WAS ENOUGH FOR MY MOM TO WORRY ABOUT...,..AND SO,.. MY SON THOUGHT HE HAD TO SAY WHAT YOU HEARD HIM SAY,EVEN THOUGH I DIDN'T EXPECT THE NEWS TO BE INVOLVED. SO,.. HE SAID WHAT HE HEARD THE NEWS LADY SAY BEFORE HE WAS ON CAMERA....HE ACTUALLY THOUGHT HE HAD TO REPEAT THE SAME THING!!!. ANYWAYS, I TRIED TO CONTACT THE NEWS TO HAVE THE STORY CORRECTED, BUT I HAVEN'T HEARD FROM THEM YET,AND SO THAT'S THAT!!! BY THE WAY MY SON IS A COMPUTER GENIUS, AT HIS AGE HE CAN FIX A COMPUTER, AND KNOWS EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!!! SO, I WISH I HAD PRODUCED MORE 'SOSKIS', AND MY HUSBAND AND I ARE
CAPABLE AND FINANCIALLY SECURE TO HAVE MORE CHILDREN , EVEN THOUGH WE CHOSE NOT TO, DUE TO OUR CAREERS.

OH MY GOD

by BULGARIA1985 (not verified) on

I recently saw this on the news and was in shock of what I was seeing!!! I noticed the kid laughing in the video background... The child is also 10 but from his linguistic capabilities I wouldn't put him above age 5. Also did I see him sitting in the front seat of the car, obviously the kid is the parent and the parents are his slaves. They almost died and you aren't even sad! Please don't reproduce Soski. Please also change that boys name before its too late.

So dumb!

by wtf (not verified) on

What a dumb couple. Lets hope they don't reproduce anymore. And who would name their kid Soski?

Deadly mixture!

by farrad02 on

Dumb parents and spolied kids can make a deadly mixture! And who the hell names a kid Soski?!

How to raise a spoiled brat

by Niki on

Wow, this whole thing reads like a handbook of "how to raise a spoiled brat." The parents don't exactly look like spring chickens either, so they should know better!

oprbxk1

This was all good until...

by oprbxk1 on

I read that the brat is 10 years old!! Isn't that too old to a) be so close to a suffed animal and b) throw a temper tantram??

Free Spirit

Unbelievable........

by Free Spirit on

The parents could of lost their lives over a stuffed animal.

Secondly, they left the boy alone on top of the hill side.

The only good thing was that the boy knew to go get help.

It seems the boy is the one running that family.

what else do you expect?

by Anonyn (not verified) on

And the damn kid sits in the front seat for the trip home! The parents kinda deserve what they got for raising a future p$%#k. Spoiled brat.
