by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on Mon Dec 28, 2009 11:31 AM PSToh gosh. that would be beautiful. if prince chubby reza can make it, so can darius. I agree. I think you should use that term "ann-telectual" in a cross fire with trita. you would definitely score major points!
DK jan: You don't need a
by vildemose on Mon Dec 28, 2009 11:30 AM PSTDK jan: You don't need a Phd in anything here in the US. Thoes kind of phd are a dime a dozen in the US.
The CNN will take your call if your point is well-reasoned and sound, they will listen to you. There is no harm in trying.
vildemose Jaan Your too kind
by Darius Kadivar on Mon Dec 28, 2009 11:26 AM PSTBut The Only PhD I have is in Movie History !
That was the only way I found for not turning myself into an ANN TELECTUAL !
LOL
I do see that you're confused DK jan
by IRANdokht on Mon Dec 28, 2009 11:22 AM PSTNothing that won't be clear with a little less bias though ;-)
1- He is a Zoroastrian, that's for sure, but he's not lobbying for IRI. (see? no confusion there! repeating people's lies confused you on that one)
2- He's living in US and has a permanent residency, he's Iranian American and can speak in any capacity he wants as long as he has supporters who believe he's most competent, informed and well-spoken. And he does! :o)
3- Even in your favorite blogs and websites that are made just to spread nonsense about the man, there are recent pictures of him in an "atash-kadeh" in Iran. Why is it that those pictures can be used to make fun of him or accuse him, but not as proof that he's been in Iran many times just recently.
Now, isn't it better to take a second look and clarify these issues instead of closing your eyes and ears and just repeating the same nonsense about Dr Parsi over and over again?
;-)

DK jan: Why don't you try
by vildemose on Mon Dec 28, 2009 11:19 AM PSTDK jan: Why don't you try to mainstream yourself like Trita. I think you're much more qualified than he is. You just need to contact a few key people here in the US. Call CNN or write to them and explain that their choice of Iran experts lacks balance.
We need people like you to counter the opportunists every which way. You can't get rid of them, they will always be there and they are not going anywhere.
Anonymouse Jaan YUP I'd Take that Risk ;0)

IRANdokht Jaan Nope I don't
by Darius Kadivar on Mon Dec 28, 2009 11:08 AM PSTI am simply confused by his inner contradictions.
Here are a few:
1) A Zoroastrian who lobbies for the IRI which suppresses his community in the name of Islam.
2) A Swedish National who with only a Green Card claims to be a spokesperson for Iranian Americans.
3) A Person who never lived or visited Iran other than during the first 5 years of his life ( Oh yes he was born there) and even left Iran with his parents with a Pahlavi Era Passport but claims to have first hand knowledge on life under the Islamic Republic and on the Pahlavi Family's so called treason.
Oh But I am sure Your Heart will Go On ...

So No Worries on Trita's Political Future. He is a Politician all right. He lies like he breaths ! ...
LOL
DK jaan r u trying to do what that Brazilian guy "tried" to do?
by Anonymouse on Mon Dec 28, 2009 11:02 AM PSTYou know the one who tried to keep that kid away from his American father for few years and the boy was finally released to his father on Christmas? When a kid has parents taking him/her away is called kidnapping or abduction not adopting. But I know you mean well and would keep these kids safe no matter what.
Everything is sacred.
DK jan
by IRANdokht on Mon Dec 28, 2009 10:58 AM PSTyou seem to think Dr Parsi being from Sweden counts as a negative point for him. It just makes me see him as an even more determined and accomplished individual.
Lets make a deal here: if the Swedish demonstrators ever run to the streets by millions and wish death to their "shah", then I'd agree with you.
cool? ;-)

That's really cute! ;-)
IRANdokht
Isn't Trita's Country ... Sweden a Monarchy ? ;0)
by Darius Kadivar on Mon Dec 28, 2009 10:36 AM PSTI wonder Why is it so hard for him to understand the concept of a Constitutional Monarchy ? After all his own community benefited from Imperial Iran's protection.
Oh Well I suppose it must be Trita's pathological Aversion for RP's Blue Suede Shoes ...

He should be commended for
by vildemose on Mon Dec 28, 2009 10:18 AM PSTHe should be commended for mainstreaming himself and NIAC. Others with differing pov are encouraged to do the same if they exhibit the same aptitude. If you don't have the same talent, then don't be envious of others.

by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on Mon Dec 28, 2009 09:12 AM PSTsame can be said for you. when is prince chubby going to join iranian.com? i guess he's too serious to discuss and comment on stupid youtube videos and chat with lowly iranians scattered throughout the world because of his successful and genius father. Thank goodness for you! you're a better prince than he is. Let's hear it for King Darius! xoxo marge

Titra is missing the point
by ghalam-doon on Mon Dec 28, 2009 08:25 AM PSTThe Shah's army was a regular army. It was not a mafia organization like the revolutionary guard. They did not own half of the wealth of the nation. When things got tough, the higher ranks decided to side with the people. They thought they could get away (how wrong were day).
The revolutionary guard have a lot to lose. That's the main reason they wanted to keep Ahmadinejad as the president. They want to continue their Mafia like activities without any hindrance.
It's nothing personal. It's just business and they want to keep it business as usual.
Titra did not mention this obvious fact.
Right on: even Khamenei is a hostage to the Sepah-e-Ghods!

If you miss the train Im on, you will know that I am gone
You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles,
A hundred miles, a hundred miles,
A hundred miles, a hundred miles,
You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles
Not a shirt on my back, not a penny to my name
And the land that I once loved was not my own
Lord Im one, Lord Im two, Lord Im three, Lord Im four,
Lord Im five hundred miles away from home
Some day soon, the tide will turn, and Ill be free
Ill be free, Ill be free, Ill come home to my country,
Some day soon the tide will turn and Ill be free ...
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooool

I think Trita is too level headed.....must be an agent
by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on Mon Dec 28, 2009 06:51 AM PSTWhy isn't he crying and screaming for Obama to bring the marines? Why isn't he saying "Look at the IRI! Look death!" Most of the "Iran analysts" on Fox are going into histrionics. Interesting contrast.
