what are your priorities?

by Meehan (not verified) on

OK. Enough is enough. The Islamic Republic knows how to repair helicopters. How to make copies of F5 Jet fighters. How to enrich Euranium by American facilities in Iran bought by the former Shah of Iran and renovated by Russians and knows how to to test long range missiles sold to them by North Korea. Are these somethings that make you proud? What about our sisters and brothers being raped, tortured, stoned to death in Iranian prisons? What about all the Islamist terrorist camps owned and operated by the Iranian govt. in Iran and elsewhere? What about all the terrorist groups being created supprted by the Islamic Republic of Iran? Do these things make you proud or make you cry? What are your priorities? To support and condone this Islamist terrorist govt or condemn it? Obviously to condemn it and find ways to red of it.

Rajab your piece "Vajab & Mola" really moved me. It made me hate Islam ten times more. Did you know why Persians called "Ajam" by the savage Arabs? Because after the spread of religion of peace with the SWORD they cut off most Persians tongues. Ajam means "MUTE" in Arabic. Isn't that wonderful? Don't you just love Islam!!!

another revamped Shah stuff

I think this is the old Shiraz Helicopter facility. It has been turn into an "Overall and Repair" facility. They are still flying 1960's Hughie helicopter and 1970's Cobra that Shah purchased.

Looks like IRI spent majority of its military efforts on Missiles and Nuke Stuff. That is a big mistake... Country like Iran must be able to put numbers up in every front. Its enemies can muster great number of aircraft and tanks.

Are they planning to send another million of our children to be slaughtered again?

Vajab & Mola

by Rajab. (not verified) on

Vajab:

I believe we should have mummified Shah so we could worship him twice a day. Actually, Shah himself was a very good man but the people around him were not good. But see every story has a beginning, a middle and an end. Shah's story is over and done with. The fact is now we have the clerical regime in Iran. Deal with it.

Shah is gone forever and we all know that he or his family will not come back to power again even though many many many people within iran long for the days that he ruled. BUT, those who do not learn from past mistakes are bound to repeat same mistakes.

We were socially uneducated because shah was careful not to offend religious authorities. Ali Dashti, the journalist and theologist, is quoted to have said on his way to Evin prison at the beginning of the revolution that "had shah allowed my Bist-o Seh Saal published, we would not be here".

Had we known about atrocities of Mohammad, Ali, and Omar, maybe we would have judged mullas differently. How many people know about Ghorayzeh War which occurred during the time of prophet and what was done to POWs, young, old, children, and women? Or mass murder of revolting Estakhr residents by Ali the Caliph? Or mass murder of revolting Kharazm residents by Omar the Caliph?

Had we known about atrocities of highly religious kings, likes of Soltan Mahmoud Ghaznavi, Soltan Mohammad Kharazmshah, Shah Esmail Safavi, and Shah shoja, maybe we would not be here.

Mola:

To all the nay-sayers. Iranians defeated Saddam and his backers, didn't they?

Yes but at what cost and for what?

Have you talked to half-a-million families who lost children in the war and whose lives were destroyed?

Have you seen living Veterans who lost body parts and live in utmost poverty?

Have you seen then young beautiful girls and boys in border towns who are permanently disfigured and sick and whose lives were destroyed by chemical attacks and living is more painful for them than death?

...

All because Khomeini wanted to export his revolution, had a personal vendetta against saddam, and wanted to continue the war until victory which never arrived.

These films are mostly from the time of the shah pieced together with a new voice; otherwise, IRI has not done a damn thing for iran in the past 30 years except for murder and destruction.

Mola is right

by Anonym7 (not verified) on

So what? Despite all of those issues Iran managed to defend itself against Saddam which was heavily supported by almost everyone.
And yes many things went wrong after the revolution, those in charge had their "cultural revolution" and many of us including yours truly who participated in removal of Shah from several years before 1979, were purged or kept out. .... but Iranians have moved on, ..., and so have I. Now that I have plenty of gray hair I realize that even U.S industries run by private sector are not immune to some of those mismanagements, corruptions and excesses that we have witnessed in Iran during the Shah's time or IRI's time. One need to keep things in perspective.

Thanks for sharing...
( khodaa kheyret bedeh ;-)

Europeans (mostly Dutch) say that we, Iranians, have introduced the concept of high percentage remuneration$ when it comes to the market of aviation parts.
The IRI pays double commission for aviation parts they import, and then the mullahs try to convince us that "khod kafaa shodeem". -Yeah sure!!

for sharing these rare stories with us.

Could you please share with us your first hand assessment about how technically competent we had become by 1978, so that we could stand on our own in maintaining and operating the fleet of Bell Helicopters in Iran (one of the largest in the world at the time). Do you know of any operations we do today in IHSRC or PANHA that we would not be capable of in 1978?

Could you also share with us how much interference the "aghidati siasi" branch had with personnel decisions, such as promotions, firings, hirings, etc.? It would be very helpful for historical sake...

And I qualify all this with the greatest gratitude for your service, and that of your colleagues who I am sure always wanted to do the best for our country despite all obstacles.

Thank You.

That was the first thing I noticed watching these clips, matter of fact I started my first comment with pointing out (I I A A) which stands for Imperial Iranian Army Aviation....or havaanirooz "havaa peymaee niroo ye zamini"

If you take a second look @ 2:08 when the chopper is being towed into the hangar, just past the Pilot door you can see IRI's emblem.

Now as for "IIAA" which is visible on the cargo door, it can be one of two cases, either part of IRIAA is covered by brown camuflage or faded away OR they used a spare door from HCS "helicopter Cemetery Site" just behind Shahrak e Ekbaataan.

PS. IIAF stands for Imperial Iranian Air Force and not IIAA.

Repeat a lie until it becomes a fact

by Faribors Maleknasri M.D. (not verified) on

In fact: it works. For example the westerns "know" that the refugies and immigrants are criminals. they reapet it by any ocasion. specially when they - specialy the western media - want to deviate the thoughts from misrable economical situation in the west. The most beloves themes are the social misery in africa, asia and elsewhere.but by no means they write, say or speak a word about the misery in the west. Some immigrant them turn to be a criminal. She/He is then taken as: MOSHT NEMUNEHE KHARVAR.
The point has stil another very interessting side: 1978/79 said Imam Khomaini(r) in one of his very valuable speeches: GO ON THE STREET and SHOUT OUT: DEATH TO AMERICA(representative and leader of western imperialism) and AMERICA WILL DIE. And look, where the stincky creature is today. The great satan lays in its death bed, is snapping its last drops of ear. But since he had been the most evel man has ever known, the deying period is long. Its suffering should not be short. That is its loan for its more than thousand years evelness. So poeple in Grate Britain, France, and in many other countries on earth are permanently shouting out: DEATH TO AMERICA. only in "IRANIAN" one reads not even a single word about world wide anti imperialistic demonstrations.
60 BILLIONS TOMANS? OR DOLLAR?
not 60 but only 56 billions §. They were all the property Iran possesed. The mony was and stil is in american hand. His Majesty the Last had the authority to stil Iranian wealth and hand it over to Boss. In case of good behaviour and good conduct the american boss convinced him: his is the mony. That is all. As long as his majesty was alive after leaving Iranians alone in order they should manage their country by their own, he and his family lived from the juweleries which Shahbanu had in her coffin size board case. Even the sadat in the air port of cairo could not get these juweleries. But all other suitcases on board of four airplanes - one of them was flown by his majesty the last himself - were broken by sadat`s men and emptied. sadat`s wife lives stil today from those wealthes and Sahbanu from those jeweleries.
Bringing reports like the iranian aerospce industry is again one of those intelligent ideas of "IRANIAN". It brings sooo many clicks and sooo many cents. Then the frustrated and depressives have again the possibility to damn mullahs. regardless the fact that the mullahs count today 7ty million. I mean all the strengthenings will not help. The Islamic Republic of Iran will continue the progression with which it has begunn 1978/79. And the not soo grat satan as in 1978/79 will die. Yesterday was the day of nature in Iran. And in LA? NYC? WDC? the people were demonstrating against unjustice in case of immigrants. Knows any "IRANIAN" a word to report? And the Irano-americans? the wannabe adviser of the black servant in white house, do they know a word of these protests? Please report and write a short notice to that man. It is not possible to change anything in Iran in a way which is in favoure of satan. But in america there a things which have to be changed in the sake of God. You Can. get active.Greeting

I am neither a fan of monarchy nor of Shah personally.  BUT, you say that he stole $60 Billion?  Good, Noosh-e-janesh!  At least he did something for Iran, like building this precise factory that is featured in the piece, and which akhoonds are bragging about.  The real question is this:  do you have an objection to hundreds of millions of dollars that the IRI sends on monthly basis to Hamas ($20 million a month to Hamas alone, as a conservative estimate, not including non-cash gifts asuch as weapons, etc.) , Hezbollah, Syria, Sudan, and every other lunatic fringe organization around the world?  Isn't that stealing Iranians' money?  They have been doing it for 30 years.  Do the math and then come back here and complain about Shah stealing money!

BTW, it is better to go to the discos and do fesgho_fojor in a designated place than take the fesgh_fojor to very many houses, as it is done in Iran right now.

Shah was a failure, it simply is true. But does this make his successores better? Is this a test, who has got the better marks? I can give you the answer to that question: Shah: F+, Khomeini: F-, IRI remains a bullshit country.

No, Iran wasn´t dependent, it had partners (besides, today Iran is really dependent). And civilised countries work together. Haven´t you heard words like global trade, knowledge exchange or political unions?

I actually worked in this same facility close to 14 years and I could still recognize a few of those people in the video.

//iranian.com/main/singlepage/2008/shahrooz

Very interesting documentary and I'm so proud of my co-workers .

There were a couple of flaws in this video:

1) In  IHSRC (Iranian Helicopter Support & Renewal Company) or PANHA (Poshtibaani va Nosaazi Helicopter haay Iran) everybody from the big boss down to the mechanics had American counterparts, who were teaching us, repairing, flying and managing, so to say before revolution this entire industry was ran by Americans is NOT true. IHSRC had close to 1500 American and close to 2800 Iranian employees.

2) Even under strict sanctions during the war, as late as 1986, we were still receiving some vital parts thru a third country (with manufacturing and inspection stamps next to the part number, dated as recent as a couple months before)

BUT.......tons and tons of credit goes to my co-workers who during the war and especially at the begining of the war, were working 14-18 hours non-stop to keep those birds flying, and...... ( I ) can tell you that absolutely ZERO of those credits go to IRI, because a lot of times they and their religious restrictions (Ramazan, Moharram, namaaz e jamaa'at, Qoran classes.....and all those during work hour!!) were the biggest obstacle in our way to get the job done on time.

I would be glad to share some stories about those "obstacles" if there are any questions from readers.

IT IS AMAZING THAT AFTER 30 LONG YEARS, WE STILL SPEAK OF THE SHAH KHODABIYAMORZ.

DO YOU ALL REMEMBER "HAKHA"? OK I KNOW YOU DO- REMEMBER WHEN HE SAID HE IS COMING TO IRAN WITH 30 PLANES? I KNOW HE SAID THAT BECAUSE HE REPEATED MANY TIMES- WELL AT THAT TIME, ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN POOPED IN THEIR PANTS, AND STARTED CLOSING AIRPORTS AND NERVOUSLY MAKING FUN OF HIM AND ALL- AND EVEN SHOWED HIS FACE IN THEIR NEWS, SOMETHING NO OPPOSITION HAS BEEN ABLE TO DO.

YOU KNOW, SOMEONE ASKED HIM AFTERWARD, WHY WOULD YOU LIE A SUCH A THING TO THE PEOPLE?

HE SAID: THE BIGGER THE LIE, THE BETTER PEOPLE BELIEVE.

NOW WE HAVE STORY OF THE SHAH AND 60 BILLIONS TOMANS? OR DOLLAR STILL NOT CLEAR PLUS THE BIGGER LIES THE AKHOUNDS ANNOUNCES TO THE PUBLIC TO MAKE THEM BELIEVE IMAM ZAMAN IS COMING AND SO FORTH.

DEAR SMHB- WHAT IS YOUR BUSINESS TO KNOW, WHO DID WHAT IN THOSE TIMES? SO WHAT IF I WAS IN A DISCO? THE WAR WAS KHOMEINI FAULT AND IN FACT HE ASKED FOR IT. AS HE EVEN WOULD NOT LET IT GO AFTERWARD- REMEMBER HE WANTED TO GO TO KARBALA? SO THNIK BEFORE YOU SPEAK.

Repeat a lie until it becomes a fact but...

by Rajab. (not verified) on

Commenter said:

He, his family members and cohorts stole close to $60B and fled the country like the dogs they are.

It is true that if you repeat a lie many many times even the liar would start believing it, but those who have to face the atrocities and thievery of what replaced the shah would not. If IRI is such a good replacement for the shah then why are YOU living in the bad west? Why aren't you in iran? What is it that west offers YOU that iranians within do not deserve to have but you want to benefit? What is it that Iran has that you cannot tolerate but iranians within should tolerate because you like aggression of arab religion more than you like iran and iranians.

Shah stole $60B? That by itself shows how uneducated (or lying) about iran you are.

(1) There was no such money in iran for shah to steal! Total oil revenues for ALL years prior to 1979 was around $110B. Total oil revenues since 1979 has been OVER $1T = $1000 B. What happened to those $1T when a broken country remains? Maybe these people have them:

//www.payvand.com/news/09/mar/1075.html

(2) You seem to be hotter than the criminal khomeini and his gangsters. He claimed that shah stole $20B and then couple of month later gave a huge discount and claimed that shah stole $6B; and then spent millions of dollars to locate shah's assets with no success. The only evidence of shah's assets are the court filings when reza pahlavi's accountant was sued for misusing his assets. The number there is $7.2M (that is million).

(3) I do not know how much shah stole and neither do you, unless you have the evidence that you want to present. But whatever he "stole" he deserved it for bringing iran out of dark ages (even by force) or else all of us would be living as in afghanistan trading opium and working our butts off in ignorance. See here how iran looked when reza shah took over (time 0:20):

//www.youtube.com/watch?v=ceiVQbwBAPw&feature...

Shah did so much for a bunch of backward fanatics with rampant "vabasir", "tarakhom", "saalak", "vabaa", "kachali", "aabeleh", "kerme shekam" that he cured, and thus he deserved whatever he took. He educated children of addicts and farmers and turned them into doctors and engineers, all for free. The evidence is YOU and ME and all the other shah-bashers around here, none were paid by mullas but the shah. Shah reigned over the best, prosperous, peaceful days of iran in many hundred years. Too bad he was not harsh enough with monsters like khomeini, khamenei, rafsanjani, khalkhali, and the rest of IRI gangsters and supporters. If there is to be another reza shah to get rid of mullas and islamists and IRI supporters, and free iran and iranians, he is worth many billions of dollars. With all his short-comings, shah was way too good for people who wanted a bast*** like khomeini to tell them how to have sex with donkeys and mules, how to wash their bottom, and how to molest underage girls. That is what iranian intellect deserved, that is what they got.

Maybe you have a long-distance love affair with arab-worshiping mullas and arab culture and aggression. Good for you since that is what you like, that is what you deserve even though you cannot tolerate living there in iran. But increasing number of iranians detest traitors and islamists in all their shapes and forms and sooner or later another reza shah will emerge and force them out as they will never leave iran alone for as long as there is wealth that they can embezzle and stupid fanatics to cheer them at the cost of destroying whatever remains of iran.
