So lovely
by Azarin Sadegh on Fri Feb 29, 2008 04:22 PM PSTDear Nazy,
Thank you so much for posting such a lovely video.
I (like the rest of my generation) grew up with Shamloo and his poetry and I specially loved his love-poems for Aida.
She, like a real muse, remained like a mystery. I started to make an image of her in my mind, wondering what was so special about her to be loved so passionately by a poet such as Shamloo --with so much charisma and with so much intelligence and so much emotion.
This video is the response to my years of wonderings! Now I see Aida’s equally impressive charisma and intelligence and moving presence.
Thank you!
Azarin
I was there
by Majid on Fri Feb 29, 2008 03:34 PM PSTI was one of the fortunate ones to see him in person in Germany when he read his famous "Roozgar-e gharibist naazanin", the event I'll never forget.
"Kabaab-e ghanaari bar aatash-e soosan-o-yaas, roozgaar-e gharibist naazanin"!
God bless his soul.
Shamlou lives for ever
by Anonymous ... (not verified) on Fri Feb 29, 2008 03:12 PM PSTI love this man. He is an Iranian treasure.
He is one of the bounds for me that defines Iran.
I have been listing to his poems for over many
years.
Even now, I often listen to his poems on my IPOD on the way to work ...
I wish I had met him before he passed away.
God bless him.
