Yes, Tito was a friend of Nasser. But then, he was an admirer of the late Shah, too.

As for the Gulf, we have always called it Persian gulf (Perzijski zaljev), never Arabian. Be it in media or school textbooks. The time of Tito, ex Yugoslavia, and ever since, Croatia.

And I voted Persian, of kors.

Consider this: assuming that "pendar neek" is Iranian, (bold assumption) his position in supporting and advocating racist Arab causes is akin to a man who goes through a sex change operation so that he can become a lesbian! In his case, he has switched nationalities, or at least national allegiances, so that he can become a racist against his own people.

BTW, if the fat boy nasser spent more time teaching his massive multi national , pan-arab army some military discipline, and less time scheming about subjucating ajams of Iran, he would have been able to crush the jewish army with the best of state of the art military HW supplied to him courtesy of soviet Union! It's a losing battle.

We already have the Arabian sea, which lies between Persian Gulf and the Indian Ocean. Additionally, our Arab neighbors have long since managed to establish "Shattol-arab" as the internationally recognized name over "Arvand Rood".

But all this is still not enough for them. Some Arabs already regard Khuzestan as "Arabestan". And of course they badly want their "Arabian Gulf" too (as well as the Lesser and Greater Tunbs and Abu Musa Islands).

So, we might as well forget about the name of Persian Gulf and give in either to the Arabs or, incomprehensibly, to some of our fellow Iranians with choices like "The Gulf" or "Gulf of Peace" etc. Because apparently it's now racist if we try to preserve the name of Persian Gulf.

So let me get this straight

This body of water is called "Persian Gulf" for at least a thousand years. Then fifty years ago, a racist Arab by the name of Gamal Abdel-Nasser comes around and declares--for no reason but racial ones--that the name should be changed to "Arabian Gulf."  Because this non-existent "controversy" arises, we should just cave and call it "the Gulf."  I thought that your ilk was against racism in all forms.  But now you're advocating the legitimization of racism by submitting to racist demands.  

Let me give you an  example.  Evolution has been proven time and time again through scientific methods.  But now, we have religious nuts who have created an artificial "controversy," without any scientific evidence, by declaring that there is "intelligent design."  Now advocates of this manufactured "theory" demand that teachers in schools preface teaching of evolution by saying that it is "one theory among others," the others being "intelligent design," even though there is scientific proof for one theory and none for the other.  By your logic, everyone should just cave and accept :inteeligent design" as a legitimate theory nit because it is scientifically proven, but because of the noise made by its proponents.
