عده ای از شهروندان در پی اعتراض شدید به قطع درختان باغ قلهک مقابل این باغ تجمع کردند. - بیش از 300 اصله درخت کهنسال که عمر آنها بین 50 تا 150 سال بوده ظرف مدت کوتاهی توسط انگلیسی ها در باغ قلهک قطع و سوزانده شد.

I don't know why I often confuse you with my other "friend" Jeesh Daram. I know you two are poles apart but somehow I imagined it was "him" again who is trying to side with my nemesis. Now I got your message and I am realy sorry for any misunderstanding. As I mentioned in Mr Ala's own last blog, I found your take fully favorable (and still it didn't click!). Old age my friend old age :)

In you, Mt Ala, because as a former academic you make such rash comments which are totally unrelated to the subject (more shortly) but I am not  disappointed in hamsade ghadimi because he is not even an academic let alone a retired one LOL. Now, it is as clear as daylight that none of you two have any thorough understanding of legal matters, particularly the international ones, otherwise you wouldn't have come up with such inane comments. So this calls for a little education which  I am glad to provide, completely free of charge!
Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations:  Article 22 1. The premises of the mission shall be inviolable. The agents of the receiving State may not enter them, except with the consent of the head of the mission. 2. The receiving State is under a special duty to take all appropriate steps to protect the premises of the mission against any intrusion or damage and to prevent any disturbance of the peace of the mission or impairment of its dignity. 3. The premises of the mission, their furnishings and other property thereon and the means of
transport of the mission shall be immune from search, requisition, attachment or execution.
 Article 23 1. The sending State and the head of the mission shall be exempt from all national, regional or municipal dues and taxes in respect of the premises of the mission, whether owned or leased, other than such as represent payment for specific services rendered. //untreaty.un.org/ilc/texts/instruments/english/conventions/9_1_1961.pdf This is not Pasadena Mr Ala and you hamsade ghadimi are not in a position to rule the national regulations over the international laws (unless you wish to join the mob outside the embassy). One last  point (for your benefit): if there is a violation of a national law (e.g. murder) within the premises of an embassy the recieving nation cannot do anything about it unless they are permitted to investigate by the sending nation otherwise the pasdars and basijis should raid all alcohol fuelled parties in Europran emabssies - think about it. LOL

anglophile, i see that you've been put in your place.  let's review why your statement is incorrect: 1) trees have values (you can't deny that), 2) there are city ordinances in los angeles that forbids cutting of trees.  check mate pardner.

it's immaterial what the diplomatic arrangements between iran and other countries are, or for that matter between any two countries.

Do other countries object to IRR when it converts its embassy bathrooms into mostrah'e akhoondi around the world? No! Because what one does in its territory it's his/her own business!

You can tell by the looks of these chanting clowns that they are there on the behalf and order of Khamenei.

Khamenei knows his days are numbered hence he is sending a shot across the bow to his masters!

Cutting trees

anglophile what you say is NOT true.  Old trees have values.

For example, in a city of Pasadena, California an owner cannot cut old trees.  The city has ordinance that the owners to get permits and pay $5,000 for each tree.  I learned about this from someone who purchased a land and gave up building because there were over 50 trees in that land in Pasadena.

Protecting the environment in Iran is a challenge, because the majority of our people do not care and for example, construction workers pour cement and other construction leftovers next to tree roots.
