So, I promised a lot of people last weekend, that I would send them a copy of the song that I wrote for my dad Ardavan Davaran. Well... here it is. I recorded it yesterday, and I think it came out pretty nice. I have also included the lyrics below. Thank you all so much for for attending my father's services. It was such a pleasure seeing you all, and meeting some of you for the first time. PLEASE stay in touch. Feel free to drop me a line in response. It makes me happy to hear from people that loved my dad. Talk to you soon... -- Ashkon Davaran

P.S. Feel free to forward the song to anyone you think would enjoy it... Thanks

I Am You

I am you, you are me, how lucky I am to be from such a man, no your love will never die

So much joy, what a life you have made for me, I'll carry on with pride, knowing it's for you

Don't you worry about a thing, we will be okay, I will make up for any mistakes you have made

You are me, I am you, there's so much more to make and I can't wait for us to see this journey through

****

I am you, you are me, I know that you can see what I can see, and what a pretty point of view

Dreary nights, sunny says, in the ocean waves, under the stars, are the places I see you

And one day somewhere down the road, I will find someone to carry on the laughter of your legacy

You and me, everyday, I am here with you, and what a lovely place for you and I to be

What a lovely place for you and I to be

What a lovely place for you and I to be

Beauty

by Fernanda Bueno (not verified) on

Dr.Davaran once told me that "there's a beauty in pain that only those who suffer can see"...I understand it now.
He meant a LOT to me, and this song was very touching. Thanks for sharing. It's good to know there is another piece of him walking on earth. =]
