Orange County Health Care Agency's Food Protection Program has reported major violations at Caspian (14100 Culver Dr, Irvine, CA, 92604) and Darya (1611 W Sunflower Ave, Santa Ana, CA 92704) restaurants. The violations at Darya were rechecked and observed corrected (9/11/2008).

Caspian inspection report: 08/26/2008

This facility's health permit was temporarily suspended on this date due to continued significant rodent activity in the upstairs utensil storage room and directly on a serving plate. The following conditions are to be fulfilled before contacting this Agency for a reinspection:

1. Remove the infestation / rodent activity
2. Remove any and all rodent droppings from the facility.
3. Remove any dead rodents observed
4. Clean and sanitize all affected areas.
5. Seal all the gaps and holes in the walls of the affected areas.
6. Remove any and all excess cardboard, equipment food residue to prevent harborage.
7. Maintain a copy of this inspection report at the facility for the opening inspector.
8. Call the Health Care Agency at 714-433-6000 and have the health inspector paged to be reopened.
10. Current approved pest control information is present.

I will never eat over there any more. Really clean up and get your act together. Remember here is USA not Tehran. We had our fare share over there.

Clean up Caspian!

I hope Caspian's management take care of these health issues. The kitchen in Caspian is extremely dirty and prices are super high. I love the place but thankfully haven't visited it in a long time due to untidiness and high prices.
