Many Stop Child Executions supporters have been asking what they can do to honour Delara's passing and send a message to the Iranian officials to voice their outrage.
Stop Child Executon's liaison to Amnesty International representative Aubrey Harris offered this idea...

THREE THINGS YOU CAN DO

1. SEND A VIRTUAL WHITE ROSE TO THE IRANIAN EMBASSY.
Find an image of a WHITE rose by using Google's Image searching and email it to your Iranian embassy and/or the officials in Iran along with a short message about how you feel of the injustice in Delara's execution.

2. Make your own CARD OF CONDOLENCE to mail to the Iranian Embassy & authorities. You can use the image of the white rose that Delara drew in her own painting which has been posted on the DP blog at //www.amnesty.ca/blog_post2.php?id=833

Copy and paste the image onto a word processing document rotated upside-down and aligned to the top-left corner of the page. On the bottom-right corner of the page, type in your message (or wait to write it by hand). This should fold into quarters with your image on the front of the card and your message inside.

3. LEAVE WHITE ROSES AT THE ENTRANCE OF YOUR LOCAL IRANIAN EMBASSY or consulate on Wednesday 6th of May. This action is being taken around the world.

Here are available contacts for Iran in the action (please keep in mind that a two-month stay of execution had been issued by the Head of the Judiciary only two weeks before Delara's sudden and secretive execution):

'Apologizng" for DelaraTo repeat the last words of my post below

Send 120 white roses to Obama

by Shirazi-American (not verified) on

The recent U.S. bombing in Afghanistan killed about 100 civilians there, including many women and children (not to be mistaken with all the other U.S. bombings which have killed Afghan civilians). Does "Stop Child Executions" campaign against the killing of Afghan children by U.S. bombs? After all, these are bombs that we are paying for with our taxes.

The White Rose

by rosie is roxy is roshan on

The White Rose (die Weisse Rose) was an intensive  leafleting campaign against the Third Reich initiated solely by five young university students in Munich with the aid of one of their university professors between 1942 and 1943. It was one of the only coordinated popular resistance movements in Nazi Germany during its thirteen year existencce. One of the five students was a young woman named Sophie Scholl who, shortly before her twenty second birthday, along with the other five, was beheaded by guillotine..

Sophie Scholl has captured the imagination of the German populace until this day. In 2003, in a major competiton,  she was voted the fourth most influential German of all time along with her brother, over Bach, Goethe, Einstein and Bismarck. Among those under the age of 40, she ranked first. In a similar competition among young women, she was voted the greatest woman of the twentieth century.

There is no comparison between sSophie Scholl's bravery in her chosen role in the fight against the evil of a brutal regime, and Delara Darabi's involuntary imprisonment due to her complicitousness in a murder. But in her CHOICE throughout her imprisonment to articulate through her art and poetry the struggle for freedom for ALL the oppressed there is. As is there in what she represents because of the way she was brutally used as a toy in IRI power games, and in the vile circumstances surrounding her death.

No one needs saints. what is needed are fighters. The question is, will Delara be fossillized into a dead icon in the church of people's minds, between netflix and moccachinos. Or will her words, despite, and in some ways because of, her cxomplicitousness, live on, for a generation which has yet to come to terms in unity with its own complicitousness in the so-called "Revolution" of 1979, as fighting words? This is a matter of individual choice and remains an open question.

I hve no idea, no idea, how that fight should be fought when  IRI has just brazenly declared that had there been no international  attention,, Delara could've been spared. But I do have an answer for those who reply, but what about Iraq, what about Gaza, in the name of anti-colonialism.  My answer is that to continually evaluate one's own country's government's misdeeds solely in comparison with those of foreign powers, implicitly denies the Iranian people their capacity for autonomy and agency,  and is an inverted, internalized neo-Colonialism of the soul,  .

Freedom!?….Never being entrapped is meaningless!

Oh People! Let us rip the chains of our thoughts

and not be captivated by freedom

for …that itself is our "captive
