The Zorro's Ingenuity!

by Demo on

Here comes our homey 'Zorro' below to reconstruct GOD's way ,already transparent to about 4 billions or more people worldwide with the "Abrahamic' faith, & to offer his own way to the ultimate social prosperity by distorting the 'truth!' Long Live Zorro!

PS: GOD's message to all the bellievers:Either take my way or take the Highway to nowhere!

DEMO: God said to Abraham…

by Zorumbaa on

God said to Abraham, go kill me a son, Abe said, Man, you must be puttin’ me on. God said, you can do what you want, Abe, but next time you see me comin’, you better run. Well Abe said, where you want this killin’ done? God said, do it on Highway 61’.   BOB DYLAN, Highway 61.

Faith and Obedience, the anti-social allegorical tale about exercise of raw power and destruction.

If you haven’t done so already, I take the liberty and strongly suggest reading “Fear and Trembling” by SØREN  KIERKEGAARD.

Few comments:

Dear Zoroumba: intellectuals are  reflections of the societies they come from. Our Society, Iranoian Society, has been suffering from great social/economical ills. The biggest ill beingt the big gap between the rich and poor, which gets worse if one happens to be , lets say a sunni arab or balooch. Every single intellectual you mentioned, in their own different ways, suggest ways forward to the ordinary impoverished iranians, a way forward out of this brutal and divided society. that is why, all of the three individuals you named, are as relevant and popular amongst Iranians today as they were under the pahlavi regime.

Dear call mered: very nicely put. A great poem also. thank you.

Dear Bavafa: Thanks my friend.

Dear Azarbanou: thank you.

Masoud jaan: Thanks for the nice comment. I have been thinking to write something about my late uncle, but I hate the sentimentality of it all. I shared some of his notes and writings with the political group (what little is remaind of the group....) he ws part of, and am waiting to see if they'd publish them. He was the kind of guy who could have made it big, say if he lived in bay area instead of Teharan of 1960's/70's! A star engineering student at Tehran "polytechnic" ( my grandmother had framed the letter certifying that he came tops in University entrance exams, on her wall, until the day she died..), who instead dedicated his life to what hye pationately believed in. He died, I know, completely happy with what he had done in his life. Absolutely no regrets...

Mash Ghassem jaan: It is so nice to see you back, with your great comments. The fact that Behrangi clearly did not go down the religious path, is far more noteable now than during his own life, when the idea of a "islamist republic" and all the horrors associated with it, would have surely been dismissed by many as black propaganda against "islamic thinkers"!

Zendanian

Dear Roozbeh,

Thank you for this blog.  I read Mahi Siah Kocholo, when I was about 8 years old.  I think it had great influence on my life.  Samad was a wonderful writer and a great human being.  It is a tragedy that we lost him when he was so young.

And you had a wonderful uncle.  Obviously, a wonderful human being, like yourself, who genuinely cares for other human beings.

Best regards,

Masoud

Samad’s Literary Contribution

by Zorumbaa on

I do certainly agree with you regarding Mr. Behrang’s literary contribution, particularly children literature, I can say I am just a little familiar with his works and activities.  My issue is not the value of his literary writings or his contribution as a teacher, both admirable and highly valued. I also don’t think it is a sign and indication of intelligence and scholarship to “hate” anyone because h/she is on the LEFT or Right or somewhere! My issue IS NOT the person, personality and individual characteristics such as a good father of or a compassionate teacher.

My issue is, and will be the destructive role of the so called Iranian anntelectuals and the sophistry they have used to appeal to the young. In a country that a very small percentage of the youth could go to the universities (Mr. Behrang’s time) someone writing “BOOKS” with mesmerizing favoring of the romantic “left” has a powerful voice and influence, long time ago I did learn that words have consequences.

Roozbeh_Gilani

Samad's works literary value.

by Roozbeh_Gilani on

First of all, thanks everybody for reading my short blog and the comments. Samad was first a teacher and a political activist, and then a writer. He dedicated his writing skills to what he pationately believed in. His political views were certainly to the left. So he has admirers and people who hate him. But he can not be ignored. I remember  during and after  the last fradulent elections of the islamic regime, when I was back home, talking to some  very young demonstrators, I was amazed about the number of times Samad was quoted. But his politics aside, I enjoy reading his books because he seems to talk to his readers. As a casual reader of works of litrature, I find this aspect of samad's writing very appealing. I have only come across this style of writing in charles dickens books. We never know how samad would have developed as a writer, since he died so young. Who knows, maybe he'd have become our own stein beck....

Anyway, at times like now, regardless of what we think of samad's politics, what we need is writers like him, whose works awaken, embolden and agitate the oppressed masses against their oppressors, the fascist islamic Regime.

The TRIO: Shariaty, All-Ahmad and Behrangy

by Zorumbaa on

A romantic Azary nationalist, a half baked socilialist, and an active separatist. Of course he wrote a very popular and lasting children story, Little Black Fish, to tell his own story—the story of his leftist sentiments, and the CORRUPT educational system under Shah and the servants of the imperialism, one of his main WTF issues was that they i.e. the Ministry of Education, in PERSIAN books to be taught to AZARY kids, talk about “HOT DOG” aka SOSSIS and say that is a kind of food that SOME people eat! To Mr. Behrangy, a high school teacher, this kind of info or whatever DID NOT belong to the FARSI reading books for AZARY children! Like his cohort, the ill-minded All-Ahmad who argued A TRACTOR is the symbol of Western Imperialism, Mr. Behrangy believed that Iran, especially Khateh Azarbaayjan, is better off to be without HOTDOG! Please take a moment, a deep breath, stay cool and non-emotional and investigate the role of these ANN-telectuals in the contemporary Iranian history. You may change your mind, at least partially, as to why we are in this whatever that we are in, and MOST important the best way to GET OUT?!
