I am mixing things a bit*, but the direction of the Blog remains the same.

Clash tells the tale of Rock music being banned by the 'King'. He orders his jet pilots to drop bombs on the Casbah; instead the pilots turn their cockpit radios to Rock music.

Some believe the song was inspired by the Ayatollah banning Rock music in Iran.

"By order of the prophet
We ban that boogie sound
Degenerate the faithful
With that crazy Casbah sound."
