What do you feel like in terms of art and culture?
A grand ballet or a solo contemporary dance performed on Persian music?
Perhaps you are more into traditional theater? Then how about a naqqali performance? Or taking your kids to a puppet show where they can also perform?

Come on, make up your mind. But then, you don't have to. A group of about 300 volunteers have been working for over a year to make sure you can have it all on July 21-24, 2011 at Tirgan in Toronto. And the great thing is that, for the most part, you don't have to pay to enjoy a show, try a workshop, or listen to a book reading.

So, visit the website (www.tirgan.ca), make your own personalized schedule from over fifty events, and book your train or flight. Here are a few examples of what you will be missing if you miss Tirgan:

Abbas Maroufi- //maroufi.malakut.org/
Shahrnush Parsipour- //www.shahrnushparsipur.com/

Thanks Maria,

There were long lines for  free events and we could not get in either.

Hope you and your team would come with an idea to make it easer for people to attend the events.

Dear Layli; This year, we try to have repeat performances of most events so that visitors could get in easier. Most of these events are open to public free of charge; for the few ticketed ones, it is best to try early.

Dear Maria,

Hope we will be able to get the tickets for these performances. It was not easy last year.

It seems unusual to go to saudi arabi for pilgrim and help to strengthen the arab beliefs and arab economy. Iranians should stop going to macca.

Yes very nice. I would love to go. It is an obligation, a source of pride and honor for all the Iranians to attend Beautiful events such as Tirgan to see what our ancestors celebrated and why. we all should go and learn and teach them to the new generation. Lets all go, and show our support, the only way to resurrect our heritage. It seems unusual to go to saudi arabi for pilgrim and help to strengthen the arab beliefs and arab economy. Iranians should stop going to macca. Thanks for sharing this information with us.
