First Nouruz
by botshekan. (not verified) on Fri Mar 20, 2009 04:42 PM PDTNouruz 1358 and the Jebhe Melli dominated transition government of Mahdi Bazargan was in power albeit without power. The same people who are now talking in support of human rights and democracy, the likes of Amir Abbas Entezam and Ebrahim Yazdi, were members of Bazargan Cabinet. Today's supporters of human rights were only too happy to turn a blind eye on the killing machinary of the Islamic regime that was by then is in full swing. On the New Years day 1358 hundreds of former politicians, officers and members of the previous ruling system were summarily tried and executed and thousand were already incarcerated pending waiting for their painful fate. Yet the same peace loving and democratincly principled Jebhe melli that issues a freeting Noruz message today, were greeting the Islamic regime's leader on his bloodied killing spree. None of the, less than all Mahdi bazargan, resigned their post in protest to the summary execustions and toture that was commonsplace under their transition geovernemt.
The Jebhe Melli-filled government of Mahdi Bazargan provided the much needed moderate face that enabaled the Islamic regime to carry out their bloodiest and muderous acts under their very nose and with their full knowledge.
If Jebhe Melli had the slightest shame theywould have buried their heads in shame and never made any noise. Sadly, in parallel with the Iranian characheristic of shamlessness, they keep running their hypocrisy thirty years on.
Happy Norooz to you too dear Masoud. All the best for new year.
