Looking for Authentic Iranian Food in NYC Area

I was wondering if anyone on this site could point me towards a restaurant in the New York City area that he or she would say serves authentic Iranian food?

I am not Iranian, myself.  And, my knowledge about and experience with Iranian food is rather non-existent.  But my wife and I would like to give it a try sometime.

So, I figured what better place is there to ask this question?  :)

Thank you for your suggestions, MM and Ali.  :)

(And, my apologies go out to those of you who may be fasting right now and would prefer to keep the thought of food off their minds.  My mistake.)

take your pick.

My favorite is Persepolis at 1407 Second Avenue (Bet: 73rd & 74th Street), New York, NY 10021

If you need entertainment, then The Persian Tea Room at 24938 Horace Harding Expressway, Little Neck, NY 11362-2050, (718) 631-7676

Asking for the address of a restaurant in the middle of a summer day from a bunch of devout Muslims in their time of fasting?

I don't know your nationality, which is not my business anyway, but I have a feeling you are not British.
