I am a weary traveler
In a dry and barren land
In a quest to quench my thirst
It is not water that I seek
I seek to satisfy a thirst
Deep within my soul
I have traveled far and wide
Yet thirsty I remain
Oh where is the oasis that I seek
All I find is a mirage
Time and time again
A well without depth, I find
Forced to be a nomad
The shadows they do haunt me
Day and night they plague me
No comfort can I find
Yet in my dreams
I see the image of the one
Urging me upon my path
Yet again I rise
My path is set
I can not turn away
This thirst, it must be quenched
This fire burns within my soul

by yolanda on Sat Apr 10, 2010 06:56 AM PDTHi Natalia,
Sorry to stop by late. I got confused about how many videos you have made. I like your poem and all the desert pictures...they are beautiful. I just got back from Death Valley and climbed a giant sand dune there. I can relate to the photos in your video.......I have submitted my photo essay last night...I have 4-5 pictures on death valley's sand dunes.......
Wow! You are fast to write poems and make videos...that is great! I can do neither one!
take care!
P.S. I hope you publish your anthology soon! PT's poetry book is available on Amazon, now!

I did better with the sound and timing. I just need to get a better music selection. LOL
I better go to bed now. It is way past my bed time. :o)
Cherry Blossoms blooming poem
by Latina on Sun Mar 21, 2010 03:31 PM PDTYolanda,
Your wish is my command. I have posted my new poem Cherry Blossom Blooming
May I be blessed enough to travel to Japan one day. I think there is also a Festival in Washington. Might be more realistic choice.
Yes, this week has been very fruitful for my writings. Next week I return to work.
See you later

by yolanda on Sat Mar 20, 2010 06:32 PM PDTYes, bring it on! I am ready for your new poem! Wow! You are writing non-stop! You are breaking IC's record......this is your busiest week on IC... LOL! later you can publish an anthology!
Memories...
by Latina on Sat Mar 20, 2010 06:12 PM PDTYolanda,
I remember it like it was yesterday. LOL I was actually defending Sara Lime's choice to be a model.
I refuse to defend the naked models choice. Whateva her real name might be.
Like you said Ms. Lime wears more clothes. She is also a real Iranian.
People don't realize that big breast mean back pain. So many with natural large breast have breast reduction surgery. It is actually a health hazard. I have several relatives that have such a burden.
I prefer in being proportioned. Much healthier. :o) Balance is good.
PS: I have a new poem ready. It is a love poem.......:o)

by yolanda on Sat Mar 20, 2010 05:50 PM PDTHi! Natalia,
I am just curious how many names this naked model (Fake Iranian) has. I think it is her gimmick to promote herself by using different ethnic names to get on different websites....IC gave this lady the prime time coverage because of her Iranian alias......her photo essay has 29,000 hits.....I just found a real Iranian model, she wears more clothes and has more viewers than the fake Iranian model........ Sara Lime's photo essay has 45,000 hits:

It is a shame that IC got blocked at work in some places when "Maryam" was on front page of IC...
Safe journey.....
by Latina on Fri Mar 19, 2010 07:18 PM PDTYolanda,
Yes, it is true. I have been rather productive in my writings. My mother only visits IC when I bring her here. She still does not know how to use the internet well.
To be honest after the naked model blog, I am not sure that I want her coming here on her own.
I would also have to translate my writings for her. Her English is limited.
Wow! Six days without internet. Without IC?! Aye! I will make sure to pray for your safe journey.

by yolanda on Fri Mar 19, 2010 07:30 PM PDTHi Natalia,
Wow! You wrote a lot during Spring Break! The Mother's Day poem is great! Does your mom visit IC? If she reads your poem, she will be very touched!
I will visit Death Valley National Park during my spring break (around Easter)........lets see if I can survive 6 days without Internet connection.....but when I get back.....I will catch up with my reading for sure!

by Latina on Thu Mar 18, 2010 09:40 PM PDTI have completed my mother's day poem way ahead of schedule. I went ahead and posted it.......No Ordinary Woman
I selected Celine Dion's song Miracle
I think the fright Arman gave me this month produced the poem sooner. He is okay. I do love him dearly. I am so proud of him.
Feel free to add your song selections to the blog.
Best wishes!

Prophetic words indeed
by Latina on Thu Mar 18, 2010 11:03 AM PDTDear MM,
Thank you! Your words are truly prophetic.Yes, I have come across the silhouettes.
I will be very cautious to determine if it is truly an oasis or simply a mirage.
Best
Hi Natalia - in quest, will see oasis & mirage - choose wisely
by MM on Wed Mar 17, 2010 11:55 PM PDTIn your quest, you will come across silhouettes that look tangible. In my experience, the first step was to take steps towards those silhouettes, but be careful and choose wisely to differentiate between an oasis and a mirage.
BTW, very nice poem.

by Latina on Wed Mar 17, 2010 11:20 PM PDTThank you! A great and wise friend shared this poem/song that you speak of, last summer with me.
Sadly, it has taken me this long to fully comprehend the mystics words to the young man.
I truly cherished the counsel of my friend. I felt so lost at the time. His words helped put me back on my path.
This poem is my humble way of expressing what those words of wisdom mean to me.

by jamshid on Wed Mar 17, 2010 04:51 PM PDTVery nice poem! It reminded of a song about someone seeking knowledge from a man of wisdom. It goes something like this:
"It is the thirst that is tormenting me, not the fever!"
The wise man replied, "Then don't search for water and become "thirst" from head to toe!"
"But show me a fountain, if there is one nearby!"
He replied, "When you become your most thirstful ever, then your heart itself shall be an ocean!"

Thank you! Wow! Well, I tried my best not to make IT specific rather universal.
The majority of people thirst for something that is not H2O. It simply varies.
In my case it is knowledge.......soul mate.
Thankfully, I have the spiritual and friendship part taken care of.
You are simply a beautiful soul and have a brilliant mind Yolanda.
Indeed!:o)
